Cosy double in small, typical London Victorian house. The bedroom is small but comfortable with a double bed and a desk - simple and eclectic rather than super smart! You may have the bathroom to yourself or possibly share with one other guest* (Deep bathtub and hand shower).
We are a household of working adults, a cat, and a new puppy on a steep learning curve. (Pets kept out of the bedrooms as a rule).
There is good wi fi and a great library of books and films; feel free to play the piano/guitar/ukulele or sit in the leafy garden; go for a walk or run along the canal at the bottom of the street, or for a pint in on of our local pubs.
It is a quiet, safe street to come back to after a day's sightseeing or work in town. There are good transport links - Heathrow is 40 mins or less, and its an hour to most central London places. The night bus stops a 10 minute walk away. On street parking is free. Just up the road we have a great deli kitchen, fish and chips, fabulous kebabs, and a bakery. The gym is also close by. Kew gardens and the river at Richmond is a 20 minute cycle ride away. (We can lend you a bike).
The closest tube is Boston Manor (Piccadilly Line) and closest rail station is Hanwell (towards Paddington). It is also easy to get to Ealing Broadway tube/rail or Brentford Station (towards Waterloo).
We are friendly without being intrusive and we want our guests to feel relaxed in a home from home. Don't expect a bland hotel style atmosphere. We will happily recommend things to do and lend you an A-Z, or just leave you to do your own thing. Check out the guide book for local information.
* sometimes our daughter also uses the bathroom if she is home. Let us know if it is very important to you to have exclusive use of the bathroom!

Friendly family, quiet house, as advertised.
lovely! clean and comfortable, and really relaxing. We were delayed in arriving but that was no problem, we felt completely at home and well looked after, many thanks!
Had a good night sleep in this beautiful house..A really friendly host.. A beautiful puppy greeted me when i came in and a friendly cat sat with me for sometime when i had my breakfast.. :)
A great nights sleep! most comfy bed and quality bedsheets had us sleeping sound and not wanting to get up. Sam is a most helpful host we had car troubles and pointed us 2 roads down to where she has her car looked after. Couldn't ask for more for a weekend break in London.
I Stayed over at Sam's place for one night.
Sam has a lovely family, It was very nice to meet everyone.
The house was very nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable.
Highly recommend !
Such a lovely family who were very welcoming and friendly, and also understanding of me and my stressful job! A very cosy room and house, I slept well there, and Sam leaves breakfast out which is a really nice touch.
Sam and her family were wonderful to be around. They make you feel included but know how to give you your space. Their home is a warm and loving environment and I would DEFINITELY go back.
Staying with Sam and Pete was delightful! They were some of the most interesting people I have met. They were so fun, and nice! There were people I would like to know and be friends with in my personal life. The house was comfortable and private. There was a very nice bathtub in which I used every day. There's a pretty fireplace in the room. Sam feeds you! She got me food for breakfast and dinner. She also showed me how to get around the city. She and I actually have lunch one of the days. I loved staying with them and I would do it again! I highly recommend it to anyone traveling in London. The only thing I would need to warn you about is that it's kind of far from the center of the city. It took me over an hour to get into central London. But if you don't mind the commute, it's a wonderful place to stay.
It was my last days in England and I just needed a accomodation. However, what I experienced there was much more than that! Everybody is so warm, welcoming and helpful I think that has been the best airbnb stay.
Sam and her family are a reason to go to London!
Just what I needed for a couple of nights. A clean and warm home with friendly hosts. The highlight was cycling along the tow path to Kew on the bike Sam lent me. I was busy with work in the evenings, but everyone was very kind and respectful.
