The location of the apartment ist absolutely perfect - right in Saint-Germain-des Près and in walking distance from my favourite museums Le Louve and musée d'Orsay, and my favourite bakery in Paris: Eric Kayser. Sonia, Martine's housekeeper gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival and showed us how everything in the apartment worked. All appliances, including Wifi worked well. The apartment is charming, roomy, quiet and very comfortable. The apartment matches the description and photos perferctly. Prior to our arrival and also during our stay, we corresponded with Martine on occasion who gave us some useful advice and recommendations and was always vey prompt to reply. Martine's and Sonia's flexibility regarding our departure was much appreciated. I can highly recommend this apartmen. Merci beaucoup à Martine et Sonia.
Martine's apartment was lovely! Her housekeeper welcomed us, and we really enjoyed the neighborhood. We were truly in a great location - close to the Right Bank and in the thick of the action near St. Germain.
Martine was a fantastic host. From prior to our visit where she gave us detailed instructions as to our arrival to Sonia her housekeeper that met us promptly, to the fantastic information about the surrounding area in terms of food, wine, shops, sites etc. The apartment itself was brilliantly situated very central and exactly as described. Two bedrooms and at a push room for someone smaller to sleep on the two couches in the front room.
Prior to coming we had complete information about where the flat is located and how to get in. Upon arrival, we were met by the owner's neighbor who made us comfortable, showed us how everything in the apartment worked and all the details necessary.
The flat was perfectly clean and exceedingly comfortable. We all really enjoyed being in the warmth of a well-loved home rather than a impersonal hotel. The neighborhood cannot be beat. We were in the perfect range of everything imaginable. The d'Orsay just one block and the Louvre is less than a 5 min walk. The restaurants and shops in the vicinity are small, friendly and have a local feel. The bakery on the corner completed perfection.
Martine and Sonia were lovely to deal with and WE PLAN TO RETURN!!! We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else!!!
We enjoyed 10 nights in Martine's apartment during the Xmas period. Great location. Close to supermarket, bakery, wine shop and restaurants. Within walking distance of the Louvre and public transport.
We recently returned from a lovely trip to Paris. One of the things making this trip great was to get to stay in Martines fantastic apartment in the area of Saint-Germain-des-Pres! The apartment matches the description perfectly, and the area is very nice and central, walking distance to many attractions, but not very noisy. Sonia, who takes care of practicalities, is very helpful and easy to communicate with in person and by text message. The apartment is cosy and nice and made our stay with grandmother and grandchild perfect. I highly recommend this home!
