Marine's place is fabulous. She was responsive to communications with me and any issue we may have had. Sonia, her housekeeper, met us right on time and showed us how everything worked. The place was very comfortable. The location is fantastic. We barely used the Metro when we were there as everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. There was and Eric Kayser bakery at the corner, a gourmet food shop next door, owned by lovely English speaking Charlotte, a wine shop and a grocery store all located with in a block or two. It met all our needs, especially on the nights we were too tired to eat out.
Sonia called us a cab for the airport and when my plane was cancelled she called another one when my flight was finally reinstated. I would not hesitate again to stay here!
The host set up the welcome very clearly and professionally. She communicates promptly and you are given the apt manager's tel no. The apartment was spacious enough for two adults and our two teenaged grandchildren. The location could not have been more convenient, within easy walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Musee d'Orsay and lovely upscale shops. A favorite was the wonderful bakery, Eric Kayser, at the end if the block.
Martine was a lovely host. Although we never met her in person, she was readily available by email and responsive. Her housekeeper Sonia was amazing as well, we could always rely on her for any immediate questions. The flat is in a great location, within walking distance to d'Orsay and the Louvre, and a two minute walk to the supermarket.
First of all, the location of this apartment is absolutely perfect if you are interested in seeing some of the most iconic parts of Paris, and they are within walking distance too! The apartment itself is very comfortable and spending 5 nights here, it felt like home. There are also wonderful conveniences that Martine and Sonia (Martine's housekeeper who welcomed us at the beginning of our stay) have incorporated, including two sets of keys, towels, pots/pans/spices, many books and guides on Paris, and a binder with highly relevant information. Really thoughtfully done. And as for Martine and Sonia themselves, both are absolutely lovely! I only had the pleasure of interacting with Martine over email, but she made sure to communicate all last-minute details asap and also to help me arrange a place to keep my bag for a few hours after checkout even though there were new guests in the apartment. Sonia is the sweetest woman, and provides a very warm welcome to the apartment and to Paris. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
The location of the apartment ist absolutely perfect - right in Saint-Germain-des Près and in walking distance from my favourite museums Le Louve and musée d'Orsay, and my favourite bakery in Paris: Eric Kayser. Sonia, Martine's housekeeper gave us a warm welcome upon our arrival and showed us how everything in the apartment worked. All appliances, including Wifi worked well. The apartment is charming, roomy, quiet and very comfortable. The apartment matches the description and photos perferctly. Prior to our arrival and also during our stay, we corresponded with Martine on occasion who gave us some useful advice and recommendations and was always vey prompt to reply. Martine's and Sonia's flexibility regarding our departure was much appreciated. I can highly recommend this apartmen. Merci beaucoup à Martine et Sonia.
Martine's apartment was lovely! Her housekeeper welcomed us, and we really enjoyed the neighborhood. We were truly in a great location - close to the Right Bank and in the thick of the action near St. Germain.
