Martine was very quick to confirm the booking and to reply to any queries. We are pleased that she recommended taking a taxi rather than using the Metro to get from Gare du Nord to the apartment. She provided very useful information about the local shops, restaurants, Metro stations etc. and how to get to the tourist attractions.
Just before our arrival, the entry code to the apartments had been changed and Martine made sure that we were kept up to date with this essential piece of information.
Sonia, the housekeeper was wonderful, explained everything and even arranged a taxi to take us back to the G de N.
In all, I can highly recommend this ideally located apartment for four people.
Martine messaged us from the very beginning and was very attentive to our needs throughout our stay. Her Parisian apartment is very centrally located and is within easy walking distance of most major tourist sites as well as the metro and the RER train to Versailles. She has a fully equipped kitchen should you desire to eat in and there are many places to eat a short walk away. Sonia met us the first night and was there to care for any questions or concerns -- a very kind, thoughtful person who was a pleasure to meet. She also helped us to secure a taxi ride back to the airport at the end of our stay. We had a very nice vacation and would recommend this host!
Charming apartment in superb location and wonderful for sightseeing as you can walk just about everywhere with lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep but also metro/bus and train stations for trips further away. Housekeeper was very helpful and knowledgeable. Can't wait to return.........
The apartment is charming and the location unsurpassable; two short blocks and a bridge from the Louvre, three blocks from the Musee d'Orsay... what could be better? Oh yes, there is a Monoprix nearby and there is a grocer, a fine bakery, an excellent and very friendly charcuterie next door, not to mention a Michelin-starred restaurant across the street! The kitchen had everything we needed including a dishwasher. The apartment is not "modern" but if you want a good feeling for life in the Left Bank, it is perfect. The décor was very interesting, and the small library a real asset. We were met (on time) by the apartment's charming caretaker, Sonia, who let us in the front door and explained how to use all the appliances.
If you need a "land-line" telephone, just ask. Enjoy!
Celine apartment is great and well located. She was a great host. I totally reccomend her apartment.
Marine's place is fabulous. She was responsive to communications with me and any issue we may have had. Sonia, her housekeeper, met us right on time and showed us how everything worked. The place was very comfortable. The location is fantastic. We barely used the Metro when we were there as everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. There was and Eric Kayser bakery at the corner, a gourmet food shop next door, owned by lovely English speaking Charlotte, a wine shop and a grocery store all located with in a block or two. It met all our needs, especially on the nights we were too tired to eat out.
Sonia called us a cab for the airport and when my plane was cancelled she called another one when my flight was finally reinstated. I would not hesitate again to stay here!
