We enjoyed our time in Florence and this is a lovely apartment in a great location. It would have been nice to know before booking that there was construction taking place in the building. Also the beds were very uncomfortable.
i don't like to write bad review about people becouse is not in my character in fact i prefered not to write about this family. After 3 years of very good experience with all my guests this is the first time i really had a bad experience and i would never recomend them as guests . First thing they asked me a discount becouse they said that the 2 daugheters were going to sleep away for 2 nights. I gave 80 euro discount. This family is not well educated , with rough manners. For sure not the style of people i am used to guest in my house.
they asked to pospone the check out and i gave them one hour more saying that i had guests coming few hours next and i needed to clean the house. When i arrived for check out i founded 2 more kids and another adult in the house still not ready to go. i kindly asked them to leave in few min . When i came back one hour after ( 2 hours after the scheduled check out) they were still in the house! This was for me an horrible experience! concerning the beds they are expensive and high quality beds, like everything in the house.
the mattress are not soft but hard, the best for the health of the body and rest. Probably if you are used to soft beds you would not like it. There were works 2 floors up in the building finishing at 5 pm every (website hidden) the center of florence there are works in the buildings everywhere in the summer it is normal and if you live in the city it is better to be a bit tolerant. The opposite of these people .
First, Alessandra was very welcoming and flexible. There was a train strike the day we arrived so we had to change the time we had arranged to meet which she did willingly. The apartment is lovely. The kitchen is well equipped, the garden is a quiet oasis after busy Florence days and there is lots of space in the apartment. The location is also great and not a far walk from the sites of Firenze. There are lots of nice places to eat close by and a nice little wine store/appertivo bar just doors away. We would stay here again- thanks Alessandra!!
Excellent apartment in great location. Round the corner from vibrant square with lovely restaurants and bars and only 10-15 minute to main sights.
Alessandra was extremely helpful upon arrival with great recommendations for our stay. Apartment was beautifully decorated, as in the photographs, and garden/courtyard was a real bonus too.
I would highly recommend.
Alessandra's ground-floor flat was a great base for our stay in Florence. Spacious and quiet with a beautiful garden dining area.
The kitchen is also really well kitted out if you can be bothered with home cooking in a town like this.
One of the best things about this place is the location. Just on the south side of the river, it's a short walk to everything but far enough from the tourist area so you feel like you're mixing it with the locals. Loved the great little alleyway bars and restaurants around here.
As a host, Alessandra was very friendly and helpful and met us personally to show us around at the start of our stay.
Recommend this to all air bnbers.
I cannot recommend Alessandra's place enough. Exactly as we'd expected/hoped from her profile. She welcomed us on our arrival, taking the time to give us some insider tips on where to eat nearby etc, (which proved v.successful), then left us to it, assuring us should we need anything she was only a phone call/email away. The flat is beautiful and the private courtyard was great for a recharge after lots of sight seeing. The location was perfect for us. Out of the tourist trap, but close enough to enjoy a walk into town, to all the sights and sounds Florence has to offer. The Oltrarno area has lots of great restaurants and bars too, with a real sense of community, which we very much enjoyed. When I come back to Florence this will be my 'port of call'. We had a fantastic time! Grazie Alessandra!

Half of the year i move to the countryside, so thanks to airbnb i decided few years ago to rent my beautiful apartment to people like me that love to travel in a different way ,not like simple tourists , but like like people that can feel at home as they enter the house. For this reason i love to give to my guests all the tips to feel a florentine in a day!
