Description of the Residenza del Gallo

The Residenza del Gallo is located on a quiet residential street in the Vatican/St. Peter’s area just a short walk from St. Peter’s Basilica. The apartment, which is located on the first floor of a quiet and elegant building, has been recently completely refurbished. It consists of an entrance hallway, living room with a sofa bed and a dining table, master bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. The modern and colourful interiors have been specifically designed to create a pleasant, cheerful and relaxed atmosphere, ideal for spending an unforgettable Roman holiday!

Features such as air conditioning, flat screen TV, computer with free 24-hour ADSL Internet access, Jacuzzi bath, washing machine, microwave oven and other small appliances complement the high quality of the interiors.

Fully appointed and fun, Andrea' s flat is a gem. 10 minutes walking to St. Peter's, easy access to public transportation, close to restaraunts, fruit market and ATM. Andrea gives you lots of information for visiting the eternal city. Enjoy!

This is a very nice spacious apartment located within walking distance of St. Peter’s Square (10-15 minute walk). The apartment is convenient, secure, and clean. It has a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of hot water, nice living room. The washing machine is a big plus, and clothes can be dried on the rack on the balcony. There are good local restaurants – our favorite was Ristorante Papa Rex on Via Aurelia 87. The train station is close, but it is an uphill walk from train station to apartment. Our one complaint about the apartment is that the bed is very uncomfortable. Do get specific directions on the building location as several buildings have the same street number.

Andrea is truly a one-of-a-kind among the Airbnb community. 1. greeted us and helped us with luggage upon check-in. I stayed at 4 different Airbnbs during my 2 week Europe trip, and he was the only owner whom we met. 2. turned the sofa bed to an actual bed prior to our arrival. The only owner i've ever encountered in my many years of using Airbnb who has done this. That's what I call EXCELLENT service. 3. laid out neatly folded towels on our beds with candies, provided a fully stocked fridge with snacks and juices, and a bottle of wine. 4. had pamphlet of his apartments available. Talk about professionalism and going above and beyond the norm. 5. ordered a taxi for pick-up at 6:50am for us to take us to the airport. 6. we didn’t have enough cash on hand for city tax, and he told us to forget the rest. Ha! Generous guy. We gave him the remaining once we had change. From other experiences, we’re usually paying more b/c we don’t have the exact change, and as a response, the people who are checking us in never carry change… On top of everything, the place is perfect. Great space, location, and value. It’s no wonder he is showered with post-it notes from around the world. THANKS A MILLION. I’ll be sure to recommend you to my friends, no doubt.

It a very spacious apartment. Has everything you need. Andrea had stacked the fridge with food and drinks for us, so we didn't have to worry abt going out to shop after a long trip. Its near the train station & there are many restaurants and supermarkets near by, though its a very quiet and peaceful area. I loved it. Thank you.

Our stay at this residence in Rome was amazing. Andrea's flat was beautiful, modern, and clean. The basic pantry food items that he supplied made cooking and grocery purchases so simple. The location of the flat was not only safe and quiet, but very close to the Vatican. If we ever go back, we'd look for vacancy here first!

Andrea was most helpful and accommodating. The apartment was spotless and Andrea provided far more than I expected in the kitchen. I know the neighborhood so it worked out just fine for public transport and was in fact quieter than where I had stayed in the past. I would certainly return.
