Danny is a great host, very accommodating and easy to deal with. We preferred to keep to ourselves during our visit and that was respected. The cottage is great and contained everything we needed for our 5 night stay. On our arrival the fridge and pantry were stocked with groceries which was a generous and lovely gesture. Sandringham is a lovely suburb in bayside Melbourne with easy access to bus/train into the city and other areas. I would highly recommend the Charming Cottage in Sandringham.
Our second stay with Danny and will continue in 2015. He generously provided another mattress for the 4th body which now makes this quaint little unit perfectly equipped. Hot water(watchout!), surrounded by flowers, shade and multiple perfumes...it's like visiting nanna's house with all of her well established gardens. It's a quiet street and neighbourhood and I better stop raving about it or we might not get our dates for the new year!
It is wonderful place with great private area, place is clean. Love the garden specially the bear in trees.
danny made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. allthe necessities were there plus a few extras to get you started. it was set in a nice quiet street close to public transport and (website hidden) cottage was equipped every possible item you would need definitely a 5 out of five
Staying at Danny's place helped us enjoy our time in Melbourne. He and his wife treated us great and provided us with everything we needed. The place was decorated nicely, and we were surprised to see things we didn't expect such as bread, cereal, much daily in the fridge, a good collection of DVD movies and books and lots more. Their hospitality was amazing, and we much appreciated their warm welcome.
Danny's little granny flat is well appointed and compact. The TV is great, WIFI works fine and bed was really comfortable. Plenty of extra blankets in the cupboard were handy seeing as it was one of the coldest Melbourne weekends on record. The hot water is red hot! And thanks Danny for allowing a later checkout without creating a fuss.
Danny & Sharon are great hosts, who are happy to help if you need anything, or to leave you in total privacy. The cottage has everything you need & was larger than expected. I really appreciated the grocery items like fresh bead & milk, ready for me as I arrived in from overseas. It's a quiet, safe & wonderful alternative to a hotel.
