My partner and I and our beautiful cat share a three bedroom plus study house at the end of a peaceful dead-end court right on the border of Melbourne's metropolitan area and country/farmland. We have a reasonable backyard with privacy due to the established trees along all fencelines, which we hope to turn into a productive garden shortly, providing fresh fruits and nuts and herbs etc.
The location is superb: walking distance to supermarket and take-away food places, kindergarten, aged care facility, primary school, golf course and several parks. Just a 20min drive to Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, Dandenong, Frankston or the beach, as well as countryside right on the doorstep with Pearcedale hosting many agistments and horse-riding schools. Melbourne CBD is a casual 45min drive along the freeway, and 30mins the opposite direction takes you right to the heart of the Mornington Peninsula. 30mins drive inland lands you right at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges!
The local train station is a 30min walk or 4min drive away, the local TAFE is about 8mins drive and the Casey Race sports centre about 10mins drive (with the Casey Fields tennis courts, basketball, football and all things outdoors right over the road from Casey Race!). Between us and there, plenty of shops and restaurants as well as a small shopping centre and all amenities reside.
Being first-home owners the house and its furnishings are not quite at 5-star resort, and a few things need doing (like the carpets, the garden and the ceiling!), but it's comfortable and quiet, in a very safe area with an AMAZINGLY comfortable bed - and that's what matters most, right? ;)
The room itself hosts a Queen Size Wenatex bed (orthopaedic and hygienic for those who get back pain, arthritis, asthma or hay fever) and is painted a very happy and vibrant yellow and orange combination. It can host two people, has its own built-in wardrobe and access to own bathroom (with bath) and toilet.
Our "television" is a projector, illuminating an entire wall of our lounge room! It is also connected to various game consoles, including a Wii Fit, which is awesome fun to play wall-size! We also have a large collection of DVDs... :)
Wi-fi access is available upon request.
Being a vegan, although Dave eats meat on occasion when we are out, we tend to cook predominantly vegan. Vegetarian cooking preferred. We are both T-totallers... non-drinkers or light drinkers preferred. Strictly no smoking. No guests please, and no shoes in the house.
