Hike/bike trails 5 min. away. Your oasis is up the hill past trees, the occasional deer and a few turns through a friendly neighborhood. Car is essential to reach your private getaway!

Welcome to our modern studio in the Oakland hills set above beautiful and quaint Montclair Village.

Enjoy expansive views of the San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Oakland ports from your bedroom, dining bar and living room in the private studio apartment with separate entrance and location on the property.

The Oakland hills studio allows easy access to all of the incredible features of Oakland, San Francisco, Berkeley, the North Coast and Napa-Sonoma wine country. If you have any questions or need reference tips, just let us know.

The modern studio (approximately 500 sq ft) on our property has its own entrance from the driveway and is completely separate from the main house so it's easy to come and go as you please. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The entire apartment has new laminate floors, has been freshly painted and is furnished with modern eclectic pieces. The kitchen is equipped with range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and an expansive dining bar. Fresh linens, toiletries, hair dryer and cookware essentials are provided. You can dine al fresco on the front deck with views of trees and sounds of birds (and the occasional deer) or there are wonderful dining options nearby in Berkeley, Uptown Oakland, Montclair Village, Rockridge and down on Piedmont Avenue.

There is ample parking available at the street level and you'll likely want to have a car to enjoy the entire area. You can reach downtown SF by car in about 25 minutes. If you want to take public transit, you can walk to and from the village (via street and trails moderate to difficult hills) and take a bus to San Francisco, or park your car at Rockridge BART station (less than 10 minutes from the studio).

The modern studio has WiFi and a flat screen TV with streaming options, but you'll most likely be enjoying the view from the bar instead of watching a screen.

If your stay is longer than 2-3 nights there is an additional hanging clothing and luggage rack (and hangers) under the sofa.

Montclair is a little quaint village in the Oakland hills and has all of the necessities you might need during your stay. In addition to two grocery stores and convenience/drug stores there are wonderful coffee shops and cafes. The village is about a 10 minute walk from the studio (via streets and a community path) and there is an amazing farmer's market each Sunday 9am-1pm. The modern studio is located just 5 minutes from over 50 miles of hiking and biking trails in both the Redwood and Joaquin Miller Regional parks. Just ask us and we can give you our favorite routes.

Our active family of 4 lives on the property in the main house and you may hear us come and go, although guests in the studio apartment have a separate entrance and building, so it doesn't impact the main house at all. We are available to answer questions most anytime and can always lend a cup of sugar, but we are also happy to leave you to enjoy your stay in privacy.
