The Marina is the best neighborhood in San Francisco. It's close to the water, with plenty of parks and places to hang out or work out at. Chestnut Street (around the corner) has everything you could want: local grocery market, shopping, banks, coffee, bakeries, liquor stores, gas station, Walgreen's, and some of the best restaurants and bars in the city.
There is a bus for wherever you'd like to go, just around the corner. Easily get downtown, to the Mission, or the Sunset, or bus to the train stations to take Caltrain or BART. There is a Zipcar lot only a few blocks away; parking is easy on the street, just watch out for street cleaning and time limit signs.
Don't forget your key when you leave! The door to the building locks automatically.
You'll be staying at a Pillow Homes approved property, and guests are encouraged to follow Pillow rules and terms.
The apartment was in a wonderful neighborhood and was in a very charming building. The apartment was very clean, plenty of towels, and a super comfortable bed. The owner was a great communicator, and checked in many times to make sure everything was going smoothly. Would definitely stay again!
Great location, just a few blocks from the water. Check in process was easy and place was clean and well kept.
Brian was an excellent host and the apartment was absolutely perfect for what I needed. Great location, in a great neighborhood. Check in and out was very easy and Brian did everything he could to make sure things ran as smoothly as possible. I would definitely stay here again.
Though I was only in SF for one day, Brian's place made me feel welcome and at home. The apartment is cozy, the kitchen is adorable and well stocked, and both the couch and the bed are so comfortable, I actually couldn't decide where to sleep. Meandering through the neighborhood (the Marina) was also really nice - I came across the Palace of Fine Arts and caught a really nice sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge. I'm back in town again soon and definitely booking Brian's apartment again!
Brian's apartment is large, comfortable, and in an amazing location. I live in San Francisco, so this stay was a delightful "mini vacation". I loved experiencing everything the Marina had to offer -- some of SF's best restaurants and bars. It's hard to think of anything that could have improved my stay at Brian's.
My favorite part of the whole experience was being able to hear the foghorns from ships passing through the Golden Gate Bridge bellowing softly in the distance in the early evening. Ahoy!
