Great stay in one of the best areas of town! Communication with Timothy was swift und uncomplicated.
Timothy's apartment looks exactly as shown on the pictures and is conveniently located right between the Mission and Castro, just one block from Mission Dolores Park and hipster mania.
It has everything you need, including washer and dryer, a decent shower and a fully equipped kitchen (even though I did not use it much due to the amazing restaurants in the area). If only one downside then I would mention the mattress that could use some updating as you can feel some box springs and a little vault in the middle. This might be an issue if 2 people are sleeping on it. Also, the flat is a bit dark as there are only windows in the front partly covered by a massive bamboo. But since I didn't spend that much time there during the day it didn't bother me.
Everything else was great and as described. I would definitely stay at Timothy's apartment again and recommend it to friends.
Negatives: There are no temperature controls in the unit. Internet was very unreliable and slow when working. Bed sags very noticeably in the middle. Other furniture was not very comfortable. Hardly any natural light enters the apartment. Positives: The location is amazing.
I wish Logan had brought these issues to my attention during his stay so I could have resolved them immediately.
1 - There is a central furnace for the entire building which is not controlled by the guests. I also provide a small electric heater in case the guests want more heat.
2 - I rely on guests to tell me if the wifi stops working. Sometimes the modem and router need to be rest which will bring it back to life. I have since done that and the wifi seems to be working perfectly.
3 - Upon examination I discovered that one of the bed frame slats had come dislodged and was causing a dip in the center of the bed. I secured that slat and now the bed is good as new.
4 - As for the other furniture, many past guest have actually complimented me on how stylish and comfortable it is. There are two comfortable side chairs and a large adjustable chaise for reclining.
5 - The studio has four windows that can be seen in the photos. There are blackout curtains on all windows and doors which block all light which is great for sleeping in the morning. If you want light, open the curtains and the blinds.
I really enjoyed staying at Timothy's apartment for one month. The flat was extremely well-located, clean, spacious and welcoming. All the amenities were there and working properly (it's great to have a washing machine!) and area was very nice.
We stayed here on a long work trip and found it to be a comfortable home away from home. Tim was very easy to communicate with and attentive to our needs. The unit was exactly as described and the in-unit laundry was a huge plus.
Timothy was a great host. The apartment was as expected, and we had a great time. There was a dumpster in the street right next door that concerned me when we arrived. There were construction noises in the morning on the weekdays, but they didn't start until 8, and we were out the door before then on all but the first day, so it was a non-issue. It was wonderful to have laundry facilities, and Timothy did a great job making us feel welcome by providing some snacks, laundry and shower supplies and basically everything we needed to feel at home.
Great listing in a great location. Communication was easy with Tim, who was very attentive. Would definitely stay again and certainly recommend for 1-2 people.
A great place to stay in San Francisco!
Perfect location in between Castro and Mission with lots of cafes, restaurants, and off the beaten track stores around, away from the hordes of tourists in downtown.
The parking garage is essential, you can only park cars for 2 hours in a row in San Francisco.
Timothy is a great host. The fridge is stocked with some nice goodies on arrival. He responds to SMS questions post midnight on the day of arrival, and made sure that the apartment is equipped with all essentials including an ironing board.
