The Space

My flat is in the ground floor and has 2 bedrooms, 1 living / dinning room, plus kitchen, bathroom, (with hairdryer), and is located the old part of Lisbon.
In the flat you will find one double bed, two single beds, as well as a couch that unfolds into a double bed.

Located a few steps away, (5mn walk), from the Baixa, (city centre), and Chiado Tube Station, the flat is a perfect accommodation for all who need to be close to the sightseeing attractions and trendy lifestyle.
Ideally located with easy access to Lisbon's public transport, this quality riverside accommodation is side by side, but not inside, with the nightlife area of Bairro Alto.

Railway Stations of Rossio or Cais do Sodré are just (email hidden) walk from the apartment, by this train lines you can access the famous touristic cities of Sintra or Cascais / Estoril, in a 25mn trip by train.

The apartment is on the ground floor, (street level), and has a washing machine, hair dryer, fridge, internet, cable tv, as well as a fully-stocked kitchen, (also with toaster, orange squeezer, coffee machine).

In the neighborhood, you can find several typical restaurants with fado, lots of small cafes, bars, clubs or live music venues.

The area as plenty of choice for local shops, as supermarkets, fruit stores, butcher shop or bakeries, Theaters, Opera, Art galleries and also a few banks, one post office, and pharmacies are very close by

There’s no more central place to stay in Lisbon.

All linens and towels are included, as well as dishes and all cooking ware.

On request we can provide baby bed, feeding chair, blender, linen, etc. free of charge.

The wi-fi is free access

If you need parking near the flat, please ask me for directions.

  • The host met us on time even though it was late at night, so that was nice. The location was pretty much perfect and the flat itself was nice with good beds and alot of space. The one huge let down though was the "fully stocked kitchen", which was not fully stocked at all. No proper knife for cooking or for cutting bread (only one really small and not sharp at all) and only 1 wine glass to mention some of the things lacking. We were really looking forward to cook our own meals, but I really didnt feel I could make much with the things that were there.

  • The location of the place is good. Can easily walk to most of the nice areas in Lisbon city centre. However, the beds are not so comfortable, and the shower room is a bit smelly.
It's at the ground floor, will be good for staying of u have a lot of heavy luaggages!

  • We had an amazing time in Sergio's apartment in Bairro Alto: the neighbourhood was very friendly and helpful- minimart around the corner lending us a corkscrew when we didn't have one! Sergio was quick to deal with issues, and although we didn't get to buy him a beer in the end, we had an amazing time. Perfect location, although the walls were thin but I think that added to the community spirit. Would definitely stay here again, but buy ear plugs next time!

  • The location is very good, and the area is also very nice, as for beds it is a bit unconfortable and there are some problems with water, it makes a very unpleasant sound.

  • This is a very nice apartment in a lovely picturesque street. It's a real neighbourhood where people seem to look out for each other, which we liked.

Two good-sized bedrooms, small kitchen but perfectly adequate. It has a great atmosphere and although old, was comfortable for a weekend stay. We would recommend it and would stay there again - Gabriella and Sergio were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

  • Flat was very central and convenient to transport and sites. Had all the basics one needed, including some tourist brochures, kitchen ware, towels etc. Quite quiet for such a central location.

  • Location of this apartment is ideal - close to Bairro Alto nightlife, shopping, metro, and city center - without all the noise! Apartment is as described and provided all necessary basics. We did not spend much time in the apartment, as our days were filled with exploring the beautiful city, but the 4 of us fit comfortably. Would rent again :)

  • All great! Perfect stay. THX.

BICA neighborhood in LISBON Lisbon's most photographed street is RUA DA BICA DUARTE BELO. It descends a hill from BAIRRO ALTO to the riverfront, and the streets that cross it form a charming residential neighborhood known as BICA, in ancient times connected to the river and is economic activities. That picturesque street is known for its funicular, the iconic ELEVADOR DA BICA that creaks up and down the hill as tourists snap photos. Framing the funicular are pastel-colored houses and the river in the distance, while many of the doors open as hip bars at night. Bica's FUNICULAR A strange vehicle, as if come out of the imagination of the novelist Jules Verne, with an amazing design circulates in the city of Lisbon. The original vehicle contained reservoirs of water that filled the highest point, and emptied at the lowest point, working in pairs, connected by a cable system, running by the difference of weights, the so called, FUNICULAR system. Conceived by Portuguese engineer, Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard, the funicular was installed in 1892. Due to its enormous historical importance, cultural and touristic, the elevator was classified National Heritage in February 2002. ME The funicular TRAM's of LISBON are the connection between all my apartments, all located along the rails, it is always possible to see one of them, either from a balcony a window or a entrance door!
