The Redwood Retreat was beautiful and perfect for a quick weekend away. It is set in a very quiet and peaceful area yet close to many quaint towns and points of interest in Sonoma County. Our host was very welcoming and communicative and we enjoyed ourselves very much!
The studio was absolutely stunning and even better in person. The two of us has a great time on the property and exploring the Sebastopol and Occidental area. When we arrived, there was a personal note as well as some great recommendations for dining and entertainment in the area. We didn't have a chance to meet Mary Ann, but we had an open stream of communication and could feel her hospitality in the love and care that had gone into the studio.
Mary Ann's cottage was a fabulous weekend getaway. The house was so cute that we didn't want to outside. We had relaxing nights reading and doing a puzzle by the fire and enjoyed the fully outfitted kitchen. Mary Ann was a great host with many wonderful suggestions of nearby attractions and restaurants. We can't wait to return!
The Peaceful Redwood Retreat was a wonderful choice for lodging in the Sebastopol area. The space was perfect for my husband and I. We loved that all you could see out the windows were trees and a view of the pond, made it feel like we were up in a tree house :) We love to cook and the kitchen was well equip with everything we needed to prepare some fresh meals.
Mary Ann was a great host. She checked in with us by email before we arrived to make sure we knew exactly how to get to the place. She also provided some great feedback on local must sees and dos while we were in the area.
Zack and I will stay here again if we end up back in the Sebastopol area and recommend the place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
Mary Ann's place is beautiful and she was a lovely host! The studio is well stocked, including notes to help you find things. She has really thought of every detail. It is the perfect cozy place to spend a quiet weekend in nature. There are lots of hiking opportunities nearby, and the property itself is lovely to explore. I truly enjoyed my time here. I met Mary Ann and her dog, Dina, briefly and both were quite friendly and welcoming. I felt at home for a short weekend and I can't thank her enough!
We loved the little cabin! Perfect amount of space for four of us. Easy access to wineries, cute towns with great food, and all of the wonderful nature that Sonoma has to offer. Mary Ann and Pam left us a lovely guide to the area and a cute welcome note. Would definitely stay here again!
I had a great stay at Mary Ann's cottage. At the time, I don't believe that there was anyone else on the property, or perhaps it was just really, really quiet all weekend. Mary Ann left a key, a welcome note, and the space was in great condition when I arrived. The whole scene was very relaxing and only a few minute drive from downtown Sebastopol. The fireplace was excellent for the cooler night and the light in the morning was amazing. I would come back, for sure.
