The space
A huge, private, sun drenched house all to yourselves.

With a spacious living and dining space, foodies will be in heaven with this open plan kitchen area, spilling out to the pizza oven and vast night sky.

A crystal movie lounge is set up with fur beanbags as the most unique movie watching experience!

3 bedrooms - all with lovely natural fibre bedding and endless space. The beds are made with beautiful, natural fibre high thread count sheets and a selection of pillows for your perfect sleep.

Master Bedroom - access from the main lounge, upstairs. It is huge, with quality super king bed, ensuite bathroom with double shower, extra pull out bed available, let Sonia know if you need an extra bed made up.
This room can also be booked by itself when The Artist's House is like a mini lodge (check separate listing)

Twin/King and Queen Bedrooms - access from the dining area, with shared bathroom (shower and bath) with separate toilet. Queen Room is downstairs with outdoor access, Twin/King is upstairs above, please let me know which bed configuration you'd like made up after you book.

These rooms can also be booked by themselves when The Artist's House is like a mini lodge, great option for a few friends or traveling with kids (check separate listing).

All rooms are decorated with unique art works, photography and cushions I have created.

There is amazing lighting to play with throughout the house and fairy lights down to the river.

There is a large lawn area, games, outdoor table for breakfast in the sun. A sheltered courtyard with pizza oven and the creek running beside for your daily cold plunge!

The space is fabulous for a gathering place for a wedding or event in town, family gatherings, friend get-togethers, retreats or for the traveller who likes to immerse themselves in nature and inspiration.

Cat's are welcome and dogs, but please check in with Sonia before booking.

Master Bedroom large private room with ensuite, has an extra bed that can be made up for a child or friend for $50
Queen Room with shared bathroom with bath and toilet separate
King/Split Single: Huge California King bed or two King Singles...let me know if it is kids or adults as I can change the duvet themes. Shared bathroom with Queen Room.

Often I rent room by room too, like a mini lodge, it's a fun way to meet other curious creative travellers, have some social times... please contact me for more information.

I am happy for small gatherings: the house is private and a delcious place to gather, to dance, to make pizzas. Just let me know and we can work something out. There are extra beds I can make up, a luxury caravan too so we can increase the size.

If you want a mini retreat with friends, it's great with the hottub, sauna and cold plunge and I can offer a retreat menu too.

NO extra cleaning or service fees on regualr bookigns, maybe for a gathering, but we can chat. Discounts offered for longer stays, please send me a message

I live in the Wanaka area, a stunning resort town in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. I am an artist and and love to travel, explore, create, ski and wine, dine and hike. I love meeting people through AirBnB, and have had wonderful experiences from NYC to Canada. Now it is my turn to host YOU, and I look forward to share my art filled home with you. I speak a bit of German, but have Portuguese, Spanish and French spoken within the network here if you need.
