We liked Szilvia's place. As described her place was full of artistic interior items. The location was also nice to visit most attractions and tourist info was nearby. Her recommendation on restaurants were also helpful. She is very kind to explain where to go or how to get attractions, etc.
Thank you Szilvia!
The apartment is right in the middle of District 6, so it's perfect for anywhere you want you go. You can walk to the river in 20minutes or to a bar or club in 5 minutes, the location is perfect. We found it was also great for the size of the living room as we were able to have friends over, and as it's a bit hidden away noise didn't seem to be an issue.
However, the apartment didn't come exactly as it looks/says in the apartment. The pictures look like she has 2 double beds (as she changed the bed sheets in each photo) and the living space looks REALLY big (because she moved the sofas around in pictures). Also we didn't get any tea bags or sugar that it looks like in the pictures and also the worst part was the lack of sunlight!!!
Overall, me and my friend would not stay at this apartment, although if you stayed here with 4-5 people it would be very cheap.
Dear Alex, I recommend you to stay more woken up. in the description it is written that there is one bedroom with double bed and 3 single beds in the living room. and the fact that two of you used all the beds I think was not because you were looking for second double bed. just you paid for two persons and your "guests" were also stayed there (at least 4-5). It is VIOLATION of AIRBNB rules! amount of beer and vine bottles after you showed why didn't you find tea and sugar right on the shelf as it was shown in the picture. think twice before do something. it's better for you while got in some trouble.
I had an overall enjoyable stay at this apartment, it's centrally located, just a 2 minute walk to Liszt Ferenc Ter (great restaurants), and a 5 minute walk to Gozsdu (restaurants and bars). Szilvia was also responsive to any issues I had. The apartment is at the back of the building, so you don't get the noise from the street, and it stayed cool during the summer.
This was our first experience with airbnb and it was unfortunately very disappointing. The place was not as advertised and the host was as cold as the apartment and not very accommodating.
Traveling with a family we required a family friendly apartment as was selected in our search. When we arrived we were presented with the following;
1. 3 broken chairs
2. Broken toilet seat
3. Broken heater (1 wheel had broken off)
4. Broken and loose shelving in the bedroom
5. Broken lock on front door ( resulted in the family being locked in apartment on the 2nd morning. We had to call a locksmith to replace lock)
6. Shower that required us to mop the floor after use
7. No draw space for clothes ( we were in the apartment for 4 weeks)
8 Ripped couch covered with rugs
On discussing these things with our host she tried to rectify the issues, a be it somewhat unsuccessfully. Her communication with my wife and family was unacceptable and dam rude.
I was just disappointed that we had to highlight these things to our host in the first place. The apartment was unfit for rent.
Anyone renting this apartment you have been warned. The location is fantastic but everything you touch will fall apart. 1 or 2 nights is enough but for 4 weeks I found this whole experience unsettling and was happy to leave.
Unfortunately as a result I am unsure if we will be using airbnb again. Our friends tell us it was just one bad experience. I hope they are correct.
I am open to different cultures and people. Respectful of the environment and I try my guests will be comfortable and clean environment, as I myself have taught me and the way I live. I'm an interior designer and artist, so I try to conjure up the more exciting and livable basically familiar environment. All of this can be seen on Airbnb profile pictures tell everything. Those who see, hear all about it. If someone comes in with an expectation, such as the need for the traditional wardrobe, you have to think about it, that does not even looked at the photos. The apartment hotel is made of elementary design pattern as big Milano Hotel: open shelving and clothes hanging solution. I do not wish any baseless accusation refuted one by one, they say a lot more positive reviews for the previous guests. For me, all my guests so far satisfied smile says it all and make up for these words for an unacceptable and untrue. I wish that someone like - for yourself and the environment unassuming - away never to be. Did you receive my 200 Euro discount. 100 euro was that you did not know who had called for service because they use the lock at 2 am. 3 people said the book and each visit was 5-6 people in the home. The basis of all the problems that you are not living in there so you are considered the host's house, like your own home. 3 weeks without cleaning does not fit to live in an apartment with two children. Or is it at your house so you wont??? You chose me, I'm not you.
Szilvia is a very nice and helpful person. The flat is as expected, that is it is very big and a kind of stylish furnished. Some details: ground-floor with no sun, rear house without street noise, animal skins as decoration ... so it is a matter of taste. However, I guess the only disadvantage for us were the uncomfortable beds. In summary, I would recommend the flat for a bigger group which would like to stay centrally.

HI I am Szilvia, Interior Designer. Studied and worked in Milan. apartment is designed by myself and some works are done by me to have a stylish, contemporary, loft style touch to it. I like traveling, meeting new people, new cultures, discovering new cuisines - which is my weak point :)
Welcome to Budapest! Welcome to my House!
