Queen-sized bed in historic farmhouse in the heart of Vermont with gorgeous views of fields and forest. One of three bedrooms available to guests, enjoy quiet privacy in your room or join us on the porch, kitchen or in front of the living room fire.
A room in an old farmhouse with two shared bathrooms await you when you drive up the road to our home in Vermont The property has been in our family since the late 1700's. The house was built in 1840 and still reflects much of that heritage.
We have up to three rooms available for your party. Just mention the number of rooms needed when you make your reservation.
Drive up and park by the barn. Walk across the porch and be welcomed into our home. As bed and breakfast guests you are now a part of our family. We are eager to make you feel right at home.
Each of the three large bedrooms contains a queen sized bed with cotton sheets and feather pillows. You will be invited to join us on the porch or in front of the fire depending on the weather.
Walk out to the waterfall. Stroll past Standing Stone Perennial Gardens. Take a hike though the forest or jog past beef, horse and dairy farms. The White River offers fishing, swimming holes and great tubing.
We are just up the road from Vermont Law School. Within a short drive you will find Cabot Cheese Shop, the Quechee Antique Mall, the Golf Club in Woodstock, Simon Pierce Glassworks, Killington Ski Area, Montpelier (Vermont's Capital), Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, Dartmouth College, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital,

Welcome to my house. I hope you feel like a member of the family. You enter the house through the kitchen and then the living room where on colder days you will find a roaring fire.
As a guest you might like to hang out in the kitchen, living room, music room or out on the porch. Each room features either a queen-sized or double bed and can accommodate up to two people. There are two shared bathrooms.
We have 130 acres of fields and forest to explore. There are paths including one to a beautiful waterfall.
Feeders bring birds close to the windows and porch. Other wildlife may include woodchucks, squirrels, coydogs, hawks, foxes, hummingbirds, wild turkeys or deer.
There is a collection of guides to local hiking trails that you may borrow.
Interaction with Guests
I love greeting and chatting with guests. Please let me know if you would like to know about the history of the place, where to shop for antiques or where the nearest ski areas are.
If you prefer more privacy, or less contact, just let me know.
Usually I will serve you breakfast family style with everyone in the house at the same table. If you prefer to eat alone, just let me know. I want your stay to be just they way you envision it. Breakfast is served according to your schedule whether early bird or late sleeper.
At times I may need to be away or leave early in the morning. In this case, breakfast will be self-serve but will still consist of a delicious breakfast with hot, homemade food, coffee or tea and seasonal fruits and juices.
Stroll the country roads past cows and horses or climb the hill to the sheep farm. A two and a half mile walk takes you along the White River into the village where you will find two excellent restaurants. One is a sit down style with steak and sea food dishes. The other is a gourmet beer pub with grass-fed beef burgers, organic vegetables, and micro-brew beers.
Nestled in the heart of Vermont we are just three miles from I-89 on your way up to all the ski areas, hiking trails, festivals, craft shows, art shows, Agricultural Fairs and so much more.
As in most of rural America, a car is the best way to travel around. The closest airport is BTV in Burlington, Vt. where you can rent a car. Buses and trains from Boston, Ma., NYC or Montreal, Quebec arrive into White River Jct. or Lebanon, NH where you can also rent a car.
