Newstead is a traditional stone built villa circa 1884 and we occupy the middle floor of the house. One of our unique features is the large open hall where our guests can enjoy their home cooked scottish breakfast before setting off for the day.
Newstead B&B offers all the modern conveniences of today with the elegance of yesteryear, large bright rooms with cornicing, en-suite facilities, lovely bathroom with big bath, high ceilings and large windows offering stunning views across the Strathearn Valley.
We are situated in a quiet residential area with private car parking available. Right on the edge of the Crieff Hydro Hotel Estate, you can look out on to a field with lots of horses or walk downhill into the town and visit the shops, restaurants and bars.
The town of Crieff is known as the Gateway to the Highlands and is very popular with families, Golfers, Cyclists and Walkers. Only an hour’s drive from Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews, Crieff, is a great place to base yourself and travel around the surrounding area. You will find lots to do in and around Crieff, Golf at either of our 2 golf courses, or at the famous Gleneagles course that is 8 miles away. For Whisky lovers take a tour and tasting at one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, Glenturret. There are many walks suitable for all levels and the empty roads make it ideal for cycling and motorcyclists alike.
