The room is near the cathedral and next to the old town. The zone is silent and the room was clean, as the bathroom. Carlos prepares the breakfast carefully and gives any useful clue to visit the town and to eat out there, leaving you free to use his apartment.
Nice room close to the centre. Carlos is a very nice host, the apartment is very clean and comfortable.
The apartment is very comfortable and extremely well located: 7 minutes walk to the cathedral, 1 minute to a lovely park and free parking ..with little or no assistance from Carlos.
Carlos was a great host. He he was warm and helpful and gave us lots of excellent tips when we needed them. He was genuinely committed to making our stay enjoyable. He also helped us better understand Spain and some of the issues it is facing.
Habitación limpia y acojedora, con baño personal fuera. Carlos muy agradable y disponible, y nos ha preparado el desayuno. Sitio centrico, a menos de 10 minutos andando de la catedral.
Carlos made me feel very welcome and was incredibly helpful during my 3 day stay. He was very talkative and we had several long and wide ranging conversations which I not only enjoyed greatly, but were also a great help in improving my Spanish conversational skills and confidence.
He gave me some very good advice about what to do and see in the area, including suggesting that I visit A Caruńa for the day.
The flat is very comfortable and within easy walking distance of the old part of Santiago.
The bathroom is conveniently situated next to the bedroom, and the shower powerful and refreshing (once you had gone through the archaic and complicated routine of starting the water heater).
The kitchen has everything you need, and Carlos very generously provided me with enough snacks and water to keep me going for the first stage of my Camino to Finisterre and Muxía.
I'd highly recommend a stay there, and if I'm ever back in Santiago I would definitely consider staying there again.
We spent a week at Carlos's home in Santiago de Compostela. Our host made us feel at home right away and had lots of useful tips and informations about Santiago. The location of the flat is very convenient, only a few minutes' walk from the historical center and the cathedral (you don't even need public transport in order to see the main sights), but still quiet at night. The room is really nice, the relationship between the price and what you get is really interesting.
A very good room in a very convenient neighbourdhood.
Carlos did a lot to welcome me, he gave me good advices to visit the city, he helped me with my bike and my luggages, and he prepared me the breakfast and it was a real good surprise!!
A Room that can be recommended.
The street may be a bit noisy during the night with students coming out of bars... but it depends on the day and on the season...
