The best thing about this apartment is the location, which is nearly unbeatable. The downside is that the futon bed was broken so people were sleeping on the floor, there wasn't any wifi, the shower head was broken so it fell off the wall, and we waited around the apartment door for 2 hours beyond the agreed time before someone was there to let us in. If these things were fixed it would be a great space. Also, it is very very small.
Location Location Location. This is what this apartment is all about. We were meet by Carrie's helpers and communication with Carrie as needed was prompt. Like others, little confusing on the address, but soon sorted. Helpers speak little English, so the apartment introduction was of minimal use. First night, at 10pm, people turned up unannounced to fix sofa bed - so an interesting start. Quick txt to Carrie sorted out the internet password issue and was a very good connection.
The apartment is as the photo, but is a little tired and in need of a good clean and TLC. The clean as you go policy is clearly not being adhered to by some guests. We did a good clean of the bathroom area prior to using it. This apartment has all the potential to be absolutely fantastic with a little attention. Neighbourhood is fantastic, the street is going through overhaul. Is close to High street, shops, tube and Kensington gardens. We felt very comfortable in this neighbourhood, and lots of choices to eat out or shop for food. Apartment has all the amenities you need for a short stay. The apartment guidelines were not there, and as there are some nuances to this apartment (hot water cylinder) , it would have been helpful. Thus, we needed to have a bit of communication with Carrie at the start. The pull out bed was a little rickety, but comfortable. For the area the price was very reasonable. Would we stay again? - Yes we would for short stay and if some TLC was done to the apartment. Comfortable for two and a short stay. On reflection this review is very similar to others and so we know what to expect and so there were no surprises.
Totalmente recomendable.
Nice small apartment in the wonderful neighbourghod of kensington. A couple of minutes walk to hyde park, easy acces to all major atractions by bus, significantly cheaper than the tube. Useful kitchinette and a large bathroom. Perfect for our four night stay for a family of three. someone patiently waited for us to hand the keys even though we arrived a couple
of hours late, returning the keys was straightforward and the place looked just like in the pictures.
