The space
A Quiet Retreat in the Woods

Welcome to The Getaway on Rock Farm — a peaceful escape tucked in the woods where mornings are slow, evenings glow, and the noise of everyday life gently fades out.

Set on a homesteading 3+ acre lot surrounded by trees and natural stone walls, this is a place designed for rest.
Coffee tastes better here while conversations linger longer. The only schedule you’ll feel is the rhythm of the land itself.

Whether you’re here for a weekend reset, a creative retreat, or a few unrushed days away from it all, The Getaway invites you to settle in and stay awhile.

The space

Thoughtfully designed with comfort and simplicity in mind, the home blends cozy feng shui warmth with quiet, modern touches. Hunkering down fills the space during the day, while evenings are best spent by the firepit or curled up indoors with a blanket, hot herbal tea and a good book.

Expect:
• A calm, uncluttered interior
• Comfortable beds and soft linens
• A fully equipped kitchen for slow breakfasts and comfy dining
• Indoor and outdoor spaces that encourage rest, not rushing

We’ve intentionally kept things simple — so you can truly unwind.

🔥 Outdoors & Quiet homesteading setting

Step outside and you’re surrounded by woods, Mountain Laurels, fresh air and the gentle tones of the topography.
• Firepit for evenings under the stars
• Open outdoor space to cook, wander, sit, or do nothing at all
• Peaceful farm surroundings that feel private and grounding

This is a place where guests often say they didn’t realize how much they needed the quiet.

🎧 A guided, cozy experience

We’ve curated music playlists for different moments of the day just ask “Alexa play — (1) morning coffee music, (2) golden hour music or (3) slow nights music” in the suite, the outdoor kitchen or in the Pergola. It’s a small touch, but one guests often mention it as a favorite detail.

You’re not just staying somewhere — you’re stepping into a mood.

🌙 Good to know stuff
• Ideal for couples, solo travelers, or anyone craving a slower pace after a long busy day out or just looking to chill
• Best enjoyed by guests who appreciate nature, quiet, and intentional spaces
• Not a party house — this is a place to exhale

Laundry 🧺 Service:
We will do your laundry for $10 per load. The Get Away Suite does not have a washer and dryer, but we will do a wash and dry using non toxic laundry products for just $10 per load. There are nearby cleaners for laundry drop off too.

Here’s the 💩 Poop scoop:
Please only flush toilet paper we supply. The Get Away and Hide Away Suites have an up-flush system which grinds then throws waste to an environmentally safe septic system. No “flushable wipes” or other products can be put in the toilet. We have supplied a trash can with extra bag liners in the drawer in the bathroom for any waste you might need to discharge.

Big world, 👃 lot of smells:
Prohibited: heavy perfumes, cologne, burning candles, incense, air fresheners, smoking or vaping inside. Please store weed in your car 🦨.

It’s come to 🚘 this….
Driving off the property to all activities is necessary & pro-active on our part due to worldwide Airbnb complaints by neighbors dissatisfied about strangers walking their neighborhoods. Therefore, for us to keep our 33 year relationship with our neighbors cordial and still maintain the best possible comforts for guests we ask for your support and adhere to this ONE rule. Please don’t make reservations if you feel this might be too restrictive… and pretty please don’t ask us for exceptions.
We have over 3 acres here with plenty of room but if you need to walk or run, please drive 2 minutes down the road, Jeri can show you a great 3 mile run/power walk where there’s plenty of free parking local parks, & miles of groomed Rails to Trails. Think, just minutes away the world is your oyster.

Mobility ♿️ challenges:
This is not an ADA handicap accessible unit. You are liable for all decisions regarding safety which any person (including yourself) is making. Mobility is necessary for 2-3 steps, and accessing standup shower.
If Mobility is challenged, our larger 2 bedroom apartment, The Hide Away has better but is not ADA compliant. The shower in the Hide Away has seats, doorways are 36”. There are 2-3 steps to enter. Handicapped individuals stay at their own liability and owners authority “hold harmless”.

Have to say it 📷
Prohibited- NO filming, escort services, any/all sex trade is off limits. This is a Family oriented property and owner occupied. ****You must be 21 yrs of age to book this property.

We truly value your feedback and love hearing new ideas from our guests! Please feel free to share any suggestions or constructive thoughts on how we can continue improving the quality of your stay. Thank you,
Jeri & Jon

Jon & I enjoy time w family, homesteading. Nothing is more satisfying than just “being”. Together we enjoy gardening, discovering natural rock on our property, observing wildlife. Jon disc golfs, plays bass, loves music & sings barbershop. Grandbabies make our day! Enjoy watching our lil’ Cluckers too. A good belly laugh building on improvs. Homemade meals blessing. I remember what I always wanted is what I currently have. I’m grateful!
