This gentrifying neighborhood is the most hip part of St Louis.
It has easy access to the bus station, airport and more.
The unit was very nice and just as described. The bed was comfortable and the heat worked well for our February stay. There were 3 wifi signals available so streaming Netflix or music worked flawlessly. The shower was hot but could've used a new shower head for better pressure. The towels and bedding were soft, clean, and smelled great.
The location in relation to the city was great as was the parking situation near the apartment. The neighborhood was quiet at night, which was a definite benefit. The neighborhood itself, however, left a lot to be desired. Parts of Cherokee are being renovated but the immediate area by the apartment still has a ways to go before it is a walkable and friendly location for out-of-towners. We never felt in danger in the unit nor did we have any direct unpleasant experiences with locals. We just had to drive everywhere.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay here. It is a small studio perfect for two people and in a great location. We loved Cherokee Street and it was so convenient to be able to walk to some of the bars in the evening. Also, great Mexican food in the area!
Had a great stay at this adorable studio. Have been away from city for a couple of years and it was great to see this neighborhood revitalized.
Perry was a great host, attentive, and the space was exactly what I needed.
The immediate neighborhood might be a tiny bit bohemian for some, but for big city types like me this place was A-1, and if you like walking there's a whole lot of great things to walk to/around. Great food and drink nearby, no trouble parking two cars, not a lot of neighbor noise or car noise for such a central location. Benton Park was also very nice.
As an AirBNB veteran, I can also add that the host is a true professional and a real sweetheart to boot, handling my scheduling snafu gracefully, on a holiday, and generously where another host (to say nothing of a hotel) would've told me where to stick it. A+!
Our stay on Cherokee street at this cute little apartment was great! We were on a fun street with cute bars and restaurants and we were only a short drive from another street full of things to do. Perry was a great host and checked up on us often. We also felt no hesitation to inform him of any problems as we knew he would fix them quickly. Fantastic stay and my husband and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
This room was perfect :) I loved the location- and Perry and his staff were extremely attentive and helpful. Lovely!
Good place for the money. The neighborhood is definitely not your typical tourist fare, stay here for more of a local experience. I ended up having a great time exploring the neighborhood.
I stayed in the apartment for four days and it was very pleasant. The studio is nicely decorated and has everything you need. The Wi-Fi was very staple and fast during my stay.
I would definitely stay here again!
Cute and clean studio in the South St. Louis neighborhood of Cherokee. Nice dishes to work with and good water pressure and AC. We lost Wi-Fi after our first day there. Although Perry (and the owner, Will) tried to get the issue addressed, we were without Wi-Fi for 5 of our 7 days. We had to get a Hot-Spot, as Alex goes to school online full-time. They were nice and attentive about it, making it right by us.
