Sigrid was an excellent host - speedily answering any query I might have had!
Her apartment is very cute and so close to a great little shopping strip full of cute shops & cafes! There are even supermarkets, restaurants and a Chinese massage place, all within walking distance!
I have seen a few people reference the train station nearby - it is, conveniently, only a block and a bit away from the apartment but in no way are the train noises obtrusive - in fact I quite enjoyed hearing them - they added some atmosphere to my stay! It really is a bonus having a train station so close!
Thanks again for everything Siggy!
Very Nice apartment for a small family, I enjoyed my stay here.
Metro station, Coles super market, Food joints(Mac D, Subway and KFC) are at walking distance.
The place is safe and secure and everything you need to get started was provided to us by Sigrid.
For families moving with kid's, Maylands does have a state primary school which is very good in terms of education.
I would definitely recommend this place to people who are moving to Perth.
The flat is noisy as it is next to a main road and the trainline. It's not really suitable as a two bed place as the second bed is the sofa which is uncomfortable. We had trouble with the plumbing and had to take responsibility for the plumber coming to fix the issue. The kitchen was badly equipped and there is no air conditioning. I didn't enjoy staying there and wouldn't go again.
The apartment is advertised as one bedroom with a real bed and a sofa bed. Others who have stayed have found the sofa bed comfortable and large enough for two people on its own. It is a queen sized one. Plumbing problems happen from time to time anywhere. We had a plumber attend to a noisy cystern the same day as the problem was reported The problem was resolved same day. The guest did not have to be home to let the plumber in, it certainly was not necessary, simply her choice to be there for his arrival. The kitchen is equipped with cutlery and crockery for four (the apartment is advertised as catering for a maximum of three), a full set of pots and pans, roasting dishes, salad bowls, utensils to cook with, a full set of sharp knives, chopping boards, an apron, tea towels... a coffee machine, toaster and kettle. Guests are encouraged to advise of any concerns or if the equipment is inadequate and at no time during the stay were we approached for additional items in the kitchen. When one books an apartment so close to the City and to public transport, one has to sacrifice a little. The traffic noise is not constant and indeed quiet enjoyment can be had here. True, there is no airconditioning in this apartment. It is not advertised with aircon but has a standard fan in the living room and a ceiling fan in the bedroom.

About the Host, Sigrid
My background has a hospitality and property management bent with a bit of entertainment industry thrown in.
I come from a family of five girls (poor Dad, we only had one bathroom!), Mum and Dad both from Europe.
I like beautiful things around me but not so many to create a clutter.
I love people and love to have a chat.
My cat Narlz Grosby is a favourite. He is heavy and floppy, like a new born baby, and VERY handsome. My other favourites are my 8yo daughter Charlotte and husband Chris.
Art is a passion of mine, my favourite medium at the moment is oil sticks!
I strive to provide my guests with a comfortable, happy and memorable stay.
When I travel, I like to stay in a place that feels like home. I think eventually I would like to spend my time between Western Australia, Paris, France and New York City.
