Kellie was great! She met us on the first afternoon, went through the house and very basic instructions for staying on the property. She had left some breakfast items for us to enjoy and use in the partial kitchen. The property was so nice and serene. We were in the area to hike on the Muir Woods and really felt that staying on the property added to the quality of our trip! It was great to be able to come to a more home type environment. We certainly recommend this unit and all the great things the area had to offer. We had a lot of locals talk to us and give suggestions which ultimately completed the trip perfectly. Thanks again, Kellie!
Everything was great, from the location to the accommodations. This was a beautiful house in the quintessential mill valley neighborhood.
Thanks for everything.
This was my first AirBnB, and a pleasant experience. Kellie was friendly, flexible with our arrival time, prompt to respond to questions, helpful with suggestions about local sites and eateries, and otherwise respectfully unobtrusive.
The only thing that I suppose might be a concern for some is that there's no key to lock the bedroom door from the outside; the one key that's provided is for the house front door. Nothing bad happened to our stuff, but I didn't know who else lived in the building and thus who could access our room while we were gone.
Just to clarify that the unit is self contained and all exit doors lock, front and side. There is no need to lock the actual bedroom as it is on a private level with all of the exterior doors only being used for private access to this space.
I tried to clarify to Ben that it was secure with the front and side doors locked, but perhaps he did not understand fully.
Kellie was a very prompt and personal host, and very attentive to our needs. We had a private level of her home in the redwoods to ourselves, which opened to a private garden, and really enjoyed our stay. C & P
Kellie kept amazing communication the duration of my stay. The place itself was cozy and exactly what we needed for an active weekend getaway.
Kellie was an excellent host. She was very responsive and easy to contact. She even gave us some basic breakfast materials (eggs, butter, bread, coffee, tea) which were all organic and delicious! The garden retreat was everything we were looking for. Quiet, peaceful, clean and beautiful. It's really close to downtown mill valley (5-10 min walk) where there were plenty of places to eat. We enjoyed our stay.
This little sanctuary in Mill Valley is a very sweet spot for a weekend getaway. The perfect mixture of exotic and home-y, we just loved it. Great colors on the walls, flowers EVERYWHERE, and birds chirping in the trees. Kellie besides being a prodigious gardener was a very welcoming host, leaving us eggs, bread, coffee and cream for the perfect little breakfast to start our day. Access to hiking trails was easy and the wonderful little town is minutes walking distance. If you're looking for a peaceful escape, this is it!

About the Host, Kellie
We are so fortunate to live in such an amazingly beautiful area surrounded by nature. I enjoy regularly hiking the beautiful trails that surround our canyon here at the base of Mount Tamalpais, sharing the bounty of organic locally grown food with good friends, catching a great film, live music and taking off for a daytrip out to the wilds of Pt. Reyes. I work in managment with a national yoga company and produce shows with local artists and designers.
I treasure spending time with my 14 yr old son, always discovering new adventures around every corner.
