The Callaway Studio in Trastevere!

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Via della Gensola, Rome, Lazio 00153, Italy

The Space

A charming studio apartment in Trastevere within walking distance to the historical center. The apartment has clay tile floors and tall wood-beam ceilings. It is a ground floor unit with direct access to a winding cobblestone street which is characteristic of the Trastevere neighborhood.

Considered a studio apartment, there is a living area with a sofa as well (email hidden) with a queen size bed. A kitchenette with all of the essential basics and a bathroom complete with toilet, bidet, and shower/tub. Everything you need for an enjoyable holiday in Rome including WiFi Internet.

Just outside of the door, on a quiet little street yet in the center of it all, you are never far from a restaurant, tourist attraction, public transportation, and certainly a history lesson!

Trastevere is certainly a young and hip area of the town and well connected and within walking distance to the historical center. After a long day of sightseeing, you can easily return to the apartment for a power nap and to freshen up and then hit one of the many local restaurants for an 'aperitivo' around 19.00 followed by an Italian dinner. If you are up for a night out, the apartment is located in Trastevere but just across the river is Campo dè Fiori and an area called Testaccio, an oftentimes overlooked area by tourists.

The apartment has the essential basics for a comfortable stay including one shower towel and hand towel per guest as well as bed linens. Extra towels can be left in the apartment upon request and at an extra cost. An initial supply of toilet paper as well as complimentary body gel and shampoo will also be left in the bathroom as well as hand dishwashing soap in the kitchen.

MANAGER REVIEW: The apartment is well located in a young and hip part of town with lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. It is small but comfortable for two guests with all of the basics. Light sleepers should note that there are some outside delivery noises in the morning. All in all for the price and location it is hard to find a better deal!

Upon arrival at the apartment, all guests are given a tour of the apartment as well as a description of how the household appliances work. Guests are supplied with a tourist map and will be shown where the nearest places of interest and attractions are located.

All guests must provide their arrival time prior to the day of arrival in order to schedule a check-in appointment to receive keys directly at the apartment. Check-In time can be flexible but normal check-in time is between 15.00 and 20.00. Check-ins after 20.00 will be charged €25.00 and €50,00 after 23:59. Check-out time is at or before 10.00 on the day of departure.

  • We had a great time in Cory's Callaway Studio in Trastevere. This is the area to be: good restaurants, friendly people and not far from the interesting parts of Rome. Cory has a hands-on service: fast reactions, good arrangements and good advises. The appartement is comfortable.

  • The Callaway Studio isn't luxurious, but it's very cosy and the location is absolutely perfect! You really don't want to be in the very touristy centre of Rome. Trastevere is so much better, especially when it comes to restaurants. The studio is a bit dark, kitchen and bathroom are small, but it has everything you need, it's clean, has character and Cory and Monica are great.

  • An absolutely perfect location to be based for exploring. Near the tram stop into historic center and the charming restaurants of Trastevere. Everything in the apartment was as it should be. The small but deep and clean bathtub was a great bonus after walking all day! There is a wonderful selection of guide books about Rome and other subjects in the home's library. The staff was ever-present and very helpful if necessary, internet works great. The apartment may take some getting used to if one hasn't been living in a city for a while. There are noises of people coming and going from the building and walking by outside at night. It's nothing unbearable or rude, just notable. It's a ground floor apartment which in the summer I imagine will offer a lot of cool and shade.

  • pro: nice area, full of restaurants, most tourist attractions are readily accessible by foot
cons: the apartment is very dark, but if you are spending most of your daytime outside it won't really bother you

  • Staying in this place waw a great experience. It is located close to nice restaurants with better prices than other roman areas and it was easy to walk to all important attractions. It was clean and funcional. Cory also provided towels and there was even coffee and tea available.

  • Very pleasant stay

The flat looked exactly as the pictures

The location was really perfect. Close to nice restaurants and bars and 10minutes walk from antiq part of roma and 20min from vatican but in a very quiet street.

Flat was charming equiped correctly (wifi washing machine small kitchen)

The bed could be a little bit more comfortable but correct.

Price corresponds to the room. The extra 25€ for a "late check in" (we arrived at 9pm..) is a little bit exagerated

    Globally we are totally satisfied

  • Tucked into the quite corner of a beautiful, old part of Rome, Trastavere, this small studio apartment was a perfect base for me during my short visit. It was easy to get everywhere and made me feel at home. From lazy mornings over coffee and fresh pastries from local bakery, to relaxing baths with a glass of prosecco after long walks around the city, I loved every minute of it. Great experience .

  • The stay was fantastic. The studio was really clean, perfectly situated. Moreover, Cory was present for any question and the communication was perfect.

  • The apartment is the perfect location for a weekend in Rome. It's easy to go all around the city by foot from there. After visiting the city, we went back to apartment and went out into trastevere which is perfect to have a drink and dinner.
It's easy to communicate with Cory. We didn't meet him but we checked in with Monica who explained all the informations for the apartment + tips for restaurants,….
The apartment was clean, fully equiped and the bed comfortable.
    I definitivly recommend this apartment!!
