Windows in 3 of the b'rooms are not trimmed out and (may) have temporary blinds(Renovations). There are may be other renovations occurring - the inconveniences are cosmetic, not functional.
Park the car if you've got one. You can walk to Broadway in 4 minutes, to the track in 22. All service reachable by foot. Front porch welcomes, back deck and yard relaxes. 2 Queens, 1 Bunk Bed(s). Though there are bunk beds please remember this is an old home and not child-proof (eg long staircases).
All four bedrooms have window air conditioners, One of the Queen bedrooms (downstairs off the living room) has only one window -- so that window is not able to be opened. Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room and the other Queen bedroom have ceiling fans. Iron/Board available
The owner's personal space (a small area upstairs in the front) is off-limits. The attic is off-limits. The basement (washer/dryer) is not suitable for small children.
Interaction with guests
Available 24/7 via mobile phone.
A fair amount of vehicular and foot traffic (esp. in the summer during track season). The porch is a fun place from which to watch the show.
NOTE: street alternate side parking rules (Side change every day at 0800 except for Sunday). Use the large private parking area behind the house (Bank Alley)
Other things to note
The price/night is pretty competitive because on-going renovations (nearly done) are occurring in 3 of the bedrooms. There are 7 new windows. The rooms are freshly painted with added electric outlets and insulation. What's missing is the window trim and "nice" window treatments. The upstairs bath is newly renovated with all new fixtures, window and paint.
The Golden Rule is good. There are labeled containers in the kitchen for recycling. Before checkout: strip sheets from any bed(s) used. Used towels (kitchen and bathrooms) leave on floor. Smoking is allowed only off-premises or in the yard.
