Stayed one night at this lovely 'little house'. Fully equipped kitchen, clean rooms and beds. Hosts were very friendly. Comfortable stay. Weather was poor so we did not get to explore the area.
We had a lovely time on anne and bobby's farm! The little flat was perfect and very homey. Anne was very welcoming despite the fact that we had a mix up about our arrival date.
We had a wonderful stay with Anne and Bobby! We only met Bobby in person, though I spoke with Anne on the phone, and they were both very warm and friendly. They took us in at the last minute – we were originally booked at a different AirBnB further up the island, but there was still too much snow and my grandmother wouldn't have been able to make it up to the house, so the owner recommended staying with Anne and Bobby instead! There was plenty of space, and we all slept very comfortably. We also stood outside for ages that night, looking at the stars – it was incredible! We would have loved to spend more time there.
Anne and her family was very welcoming and friendly in our stay. We arrived in Easter evening, and they very kindly invite us to the neighbour's Easter party. The house was very nice and cozy, and the bed was comfy (particularly before and after our long trip to Cabot trail). We couldn't ask for more and we learned a lot in this stay.
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We are 4 Aussies travelling by car using a USA phone in Canada plus emails for contact. This caused some problems with the booking as Anne's internet access was down and she only has a landline. Thus although the booking went perfectly we couldn't make contact with Anne until a few hours before we arrived. We were thus a little bit concerned but when we rang the landline we got through and sorted it all out.
After that it all sorted itself out and we had a pleasant stay in a delightful rural setting. Would have loved to have had more time to talk and investigate the garden etc as she is a keen gardener.
The house was adequate for the 4 of us and both Anne, and husband Bobby, were very helpful with info on where to go in the area.
Would be happy to stay there again if we were ever in the area and can recommend it to others.
My wife and I loved it, what else can I say that has not been said already, the place is quiet, GPS had no problem finding it, around 30 minutes from Cheticamp, 45 from Cape Breton National Park. We really liked the feeling of being in the country side, all furnished, we could not meet Anne, though we met her husband and son and while I did not interacted with them a lot, a small conversation we had before we left, I could you they are great people, if we could, I would have stayed for a month, you can't go wrong with this listing, 100% recommended. On a side note we have to say we also met another member of their family, their cat, my wife loved her, such a lovely cat! Thank you very much!
