(C) Room Available Great Location

Apartment - Private room · W 119th St, New York, NY 10026, United States

The Space

Large bedroom with brand new queen size bed available in great location. The apartment is within short walking distance to Central Park, Hudson River, Columbia University and much more. It's also near several restaurants, bars and clubs so if this is your scene you'll enjoy the location of the apartment.

The apartment is on the ground level and has a restaurant just above the room, so you may occasionally hear some noise although most guests don't mind since they are typically out seeing the city. The apartment has large windows which lets in plenty of natural sunlight. It's a very spacious apartment with double sink in the bathroom which is rare in the city. There are stainless steel appliances and marble countertops in the kitchen. Dishes and pans are available if you like cooking.

The nearest subway is just two blocks away making the entire city easily accessible. Stay in the apt for a true experience of the city at a fraction of the cost of a hotel. Let me know what your interested in doing in the city and I'll help you find it.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

  • Great location - really near the 116 and 125 st stations and Adam also provides directions to the place. It's a reasonably-sized room within a really clean apartment. While I'm not too crazy bout the bathroom, it works pretty much well enough. There's other guests around but you have keys to lock your room anyway. (and you'll be out and about mostly.) Wifi is available too. Overall, a good place that's highly suited to a trip to explore Manhattan (20 minutes, at most, to downtown Manhattan by subway).

  • If you want to have a relaxed time go to Adams place! You can come and go as you want, no one will bother you. The other two rooms are rented out to students or fellow travelers. And Alana thanks for the good care even tough my flight got delayed, she waited for me until 2am. I enjoyed my stay at Adams place very much, I would definitely go back there next time!!!

  • Marisol was a great host. I didn't stay in much cause I toured NY all day. All I needed was a place to shower and lay my head. The bed was comfortable and it worked out great.

  • We never actually met Adam, but he was quick to respond via email. Donisha let us into the house. We only had to wait about 15 mins before she arrived at the meeting spot.

Concerning the apartment, it had a nice kitchen and fridge but the rest of the house was kinda run down. The bed in our room felt like it would collapse and there was leak in the ceiling over the kitchen table and also in the bathroom. We also though we heard a rat running in the ceiling in our bedroom. The neighborhood was sketchy at night but was fine in the day time. The apartment is right underneath a restaurant and sounded like it was just above the subway. We could here it often and there were a couple drunk wanders nearby the restaurant a few times.

If you are looking for 5 stars this is not the place for you but if you are looking for something basic, this is a cheap place to stay only a subway ride away from central park and the rest of Manhattan.

  • I was not expecting/informed that there would be other guests in the apartment during our stay, it would have been nice to let us know how many others would be around during the length of our stay. There were sufficient toilet paper supplies (found in one of the lower kitchen cabinets) and I was thankful for the fridge and microwave. However, I would have liked an electric kettle if possible.

Location wise: near a subway station, so it's convenient to get around.

It's pretty no frills, so it's an affordable place for a convenient place for resting in between all the sightseeing to do in New York.

Thanks Adam, Donisha and Maricell (who came to fetch us when we arrived at the area).

Hi! My name is Adam and I want to help you find the perfect place to sleep during your stay in NY. I have several rooms available to rent for anyone coming to enjoy the city for a few days, weeks or months. Most of my listings are uptown in Harlem, which is a neighborhood in Manhattan just a few blocks North of Central Park. It's an up and coming, must see neighborhood when visiting the city. The apartments are close to Columbia University, St. Nicholas Park, Central Park, Hudson River and many restaurants and bars. The subway is also a few blocks away making the entire city easily accessible. Check In and Out Times: I'm flexible with check in and out it space permits. Check out time is by 12 pm in order to get the room ready for other guests, but I do have space for your luggage until you leave the city. A safe place to stay is of course priority for anyone visiting the city, particularly for first time visitors, women and families. I live in the same neighborhood where I rent my apartments and am out walking anytime during the day or night and always feel safe. As you can see in the reviews the overwhelming majority of my guests have enjoyed their stay in my apartments as well and as for the few negative comments those issues have been resolved. I look forward to hosting you at one of my apartments and helping you navigate around the city. If the room or apartment you want says it's unavailable send me a message anyway, because I have several other similar places. Feel free to book what works best for you. Talk to you soon!! Adam
