Ayu was very welcoming and helpful. The bungalow was as described. It had a great lounging area outside. It is nice plus to have a kitchen are as well. Very comfortable and cozy!
Stayed at Ayu's Place for 26 nights in November 2014. Had a wonderful time. Great Location, only 10 minute walk to the beach (once we found all the short cuts), and less then 10 minutes to everything else; restaurants, bars, shopping, Bintang Market. Perfect for any couple. Nadeau, the gardener/housekeeper was fantastic.
This is a charming bungalow. Spacious and lots of character and a bohemian feel. Not far from Bintang market (so not smack in the middle of bustling Seminyak), it's down a quiet alley and has a real peacefulness about it. The pictures are accurate and it was perfect for me as a solo female traveler (both in terms of safety and space).
Ayu was a kind and attentive host. She answered all my questions promptly.
And, despite a previous review, I did not notice any more mosquitoes nor bugs than usual for Bali or the time of the year. In fact, because the AC is so powerful in the bedroom, I think there might have been less mosquitoes than usual.
I would definitely recommend this bungalow!
We stayed at cozy bungalow at the middle of october with my friend and enjoyed it much. Ideally for two people, great location in thr heart of Seminyak close to shops, bars and beach but in very silent place. Ayu was very nice, met us on our arrival and was very opened and helpfull in all our requests. Apartment was very clean and there is all you need, besides there were no mosquitos almost at all maybe a little bit at terrace but no at bedroom. So I will strongly recommend this place and hope will be back soon as well.
Great location and comfort in bungalow.
The only improvement would be wi-fi.
We had a horrible experience. This was my third time to Bali and I have been to many countries and lived in many humid and bug ridden environments...but never have I experienced such an infestation of mosquitoes. The place itself is pretty and comes with a lot of things, but everywhere, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom there were swarms of mosquitoes. I had 1 bug bite before arriving to this bungalow. When I got there I covered myself in insect repellent and sprayed bug killer everywhere. My boyfriend and I didn't even sit outside on the patio. We showered, put on long sleeve shirts, pants, and socks and went to sleep with our heads covered with the sheet just to avoid the mosquitoes. The next morning I woke up after one night with 20 bites on just one leg. There was no wifi for me to contact the host Ayu/or Justine that night....so the next morning I contacted her right away. I asked if there was anyway to get a refund. She said no...."there is nothing more she could do." I then sent her another message asking if she could at least provide a mosquito net....NO REPLY from her. I have stayed in many airbnb locations and I felt like the host had no regard for her guests. I also never met the woman, we were originally greeted by the house keeper Nadus who was very kind but spoke no English. So after no help from the host Justine, my boyfriend and I decided to escape before we were bit to death for a second night. Therefore we forfeited the money for our last 2 nights. We paid for 3 nights and only stayed for 1 which was really frustrating as we lost out on around $90USD. I think it is such a shame that she treats her guests this way and couldn't help us out at all by at least providing a net or writing me back. It says in airbnb's policies "If a guest contacts a host with a problem, the host should make every effort to resolve it." An effort could have at least been made.
Very first complaint... and I couldn't expect more from you as the only thing you requested was a refund of your nights. Amazing exageration you wrote about the mosquitoes in my place. ("bit to death" wow ) Travelers will be able to recognize a dishonest comment.
A little advise for you .. slamming doors and shouting insults was not the best way to ask for a refund.
Nice little bungalow in middle of the jungle called Seminyak. Apart from a few scooters in the evening passing by it is very peacefull. It has everything you need for a nice stay.
I rent a very nice & cute bungalow. Center Seminyak, private garden, very cozy and quiet place.
10 minutes walking to Seminyak beach.
It is a hidden bungalow, very charming where you will spend relaxing holidays!
