The Space

Comfortable, quiet, spacious home on a private street with a view, gardens, terraces, off street parking. Wifi. In a picturesque historic neighborhood with all services at 5 minutes walking distance. Shops, groceries, butcher, restaurants, fresh bread, flowers, fruits and vegetables, parks, river walk, 17th century churches, museum/ gallery and concert venue, gym, bars, beauty salon.

Bus stop 1 minute walk away, 5 minutes bus ride to Downtown Gto. 3 minutes from the Convention Center. 5 minutes from the L/D bus station, 20 minutes from BJX international airport.

I can arrange a driver for pickup or dropoff at airport or bus station.

Discounted rates by week or month.

Marfil is an old part of the silver mining era, and my house is built on the ruins of an old hacienda which extracted silver from the ore. The river walk below passes many of these restored ruins, one of which is a country club with day use if you wish to play sports or swim.

Marfil is like a small village set only a few minutes from downtown Guanajuato and a welcome respite after a busy noisy day in the thick of the city. You can buy everything you need within a few minutes walk from the house.

The house has a secluded garden with a teak table and chairs for dining, reading, or chatting. There are two other indoor dining rooms, modular living room and a TV room, 2 and 1/2 baths, all sheets, towels, etc., and a fully equipped kitchen. One bedroom has a kingsize bed that can become two twins and the other bedroom has two twin beds that can become a king and a twin size couch that is also a bed.

There is a DVD player and many DVD´s in diverse genres.

Fans are available if needed but the climate here is gorgeous all year and heat and AC are really not needed. Cool nights, warm days.

Local phone calls are free except to cell phones, and long distance to regular phones within Mexico is also free. Cell phone calls cost. No long distance outside of Mexico. You need to buy a phone card or use your own cell phone.

The Neighborhood

Like living in a small town with all services a minute's walk away, yet downtown Gto. is just 5 to 7 minutes on the bus. Very quiet, but lots to do.

Getting Around

Bus stop 2 minutes walk away. Taxis at corner or taxi number to call for house pickup.
