The apartment was perfect for our two night stay in Venice. Very
conveniently located. Its not big but has everything that is needed. We did not meet Michela but she was very accommodating with our late check in time. Overall a very nice stay.
Michela's husband was there to greet us when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know to be comfortable. This spot is in the heart of Venice, close to everything we wanted to walk to. Because of it's situation in the building, it feels very safe. The room is cozy, the bed comfortable. We had access to the heater, which was great because the weather was really cold while we were there. Michela and her husband own a business just around the corner, which is great -- someone's always right there if you have a question.
We did not have the pleasure of meeting Michella, but we were warmly received by her husband at their geleto stall. Directions on how to reach the house were very good. Also, the gelato from their stall right below the apartment was excellent. However, the inside of the home is rather small. It fits in a double bed,a sofa bed, a table and some shelves all in the living room with enough walking space around them. There is no additional bedroom. The kitchenette is small but functional. Wifi signal wasnt great as the wifi port was actually at the stall below rather than in the apartment itself. Also, we had a bit of a problem with the hot water supply. Apparently the boiler for the apartment is small, so the hot water finishes fast, especially with multiple tenants or if the taps used heated water at the same time. There is a need to wait about 10 minutes after the hot water supply finishes befofe it gets replenished for the next person. Although this was not mentioned in the review during booking, when we brought it up, Michella sent a friend over immediately to explain matters as we had difficulty communicating with her in English. We really appreciate the effort. We liked the location, near the lively Rialto market during the day. The apartment served us well as a clean comfortable place to rest after walking all day in Venice.
We had a wonderful stay in Michela's apartment in the heart of Venice, right near the Rialto Bridge and just off the Grand Canal. The apartment is tiny, but has almost everything you could need. It was easy to find and her ice-cream shop opposite has fantastic gelato! The boiler was very small so you had to shower very quickly if you wanted hot water, and also wait a while before the next person could shower. Limited crockery and cutlery (one proper mug and no teaspoons) and no bathmat were drawbacks but cleanliness and location made up for it! Michela was great on email and very flexible and accommodating.
