No more than 2 minutes away from Central Station, this apartment is one of the most central locations in Sydney!
Whether you are flying-in from overseas, or traveling interstate, nothing beats how convenient my apartment on Kippax Street is. As a converted warehouse, this apartment boasts some awesome features such as huge street-facing windows and high ceilings. A delightful space with lots of natural light, you can’t help but feel right at home.
The apartment is split into two levels; shared open plan living downstairs (living, dining and runway kitchen) with a guest toilet and 2 bedrooms upstairs, with shared main bathroom/laundry. Your room is a converted loft space. It’s a small room, but comes with a double bed (linin included) and built in wardrobes. The main bathroom is shared with me, but I clean it every day. I provide fluffy towels, basic toiletries (such as shampoo) and laundry stuff (powder, fabric softener etc.) If you need any extras, beach bag + towel, yoga matt just let me know. It’s no trouble at all!
You are more than welcome to use the kitchen anytime. Breakfast is included (self-serve) and if you have any particular preferences for type of milk, fruit or breakfast cravings, I’m sure I can sort that out for you before you arrive. If you’re a lover of coffee, this might just be heaven. I have multiple coffee contraptions for you to choose from!! But, if you’re like me and have discovered you prefer your coffee made by someone else, I can recommend three excellent cafes within 100metres.
Surry Hills is a hip and vibing suburb in inner Sydney. Take a stroll on the weekend, and you’re bound to see hipsters hanging out in Sydney’s trendiest cafes, restaurants and small bars. The neighborhood is leafy and is within walking distance from the CBD and Circular Quay. If it’s Sydney’s beaches you’re after, trains and buses run 24 hours a day, just around the corner. As a local Sydneyan, I am more than happy to give suggestions of the best places to see, things to do and best ways to get around town! I also make a great cup of tea ;)
I really love it when people feel at home, so please feel free to relax and live like a local :)
•TV/DVD/Stereo/Record player (common area)
•Assortment of coffee contraptions
•Washer & dryer
•Full modern kitchen
* I’ve recently acquired a portable air-conditioning unit for your room (but it can be a little noisy). Otherwise there are fans available!
I ask that guests respect that this is my home and it's contents are my treasured possessions.
- Smoking in the apartment
- Playing of bad music or drinking of instant coffee ;)
We were very happy with our short stay with Anna. Anna was a very friendly and helpful host.
Anna's apartment is thoroughly deserving of its popularity, it is a great space and she is an exceptional host. The price for this location is something that would be difficult to beat being a stones throw from Central station and only a short walk to the nightlife and restaurants of Surry Hills.
Anna met us on arrival and made us feel part of the household from the get go greeting us with an excellent cup of freshly brewed coffee!
Anna is a great host. She gave us a very warm welcome and many tips about local activities and restaurants.
She also provided a big choice of breakfasts. The room was just as described and the location is very good. Central station is just out of the door and even to the Rocks it is only a 10 minute bus ride.
Unfortunately the cleanness of the apartement was not completely up to our standards.
Thank you for hospitality Anna. We had a very nice time at your place and many hearty laughs.
Anna's place is exactly like the posted photos, kitchen and laundry supply were available. The place has a great location, like 3 minute walk to central station, close to China town, George Street and University of Sydney. Anna is very easy-going, with a very warm and passionate kind of personality. It was a great experience at Anna's place.
Staying at Anna's was a wonderful experience. We flew in early morning from Canada and she was at the apartment to meet us with some much needed strong coffee waiting. She was so lovely and friendly, offering lots of suggestions for restaurants and bars for us to check out. Our room was perfect and she had anything you would need on-hand. The Surry Hills neighbourhood was awesome and we loves walking everywhere from there. Overall, we had an awesome time and also loved getting to know Anna.
We stayed with Anna in Sydney the last two nights of our trip in Australia. Anna made us feel very welcome and even made a cup of tea on our arrival. Her place is very nice and stylish and located very conveniently for the city center. Surry Hills is very trendy and happening neighborhood and reminded us of Shoreditch in London. The breakfast was very nice too. We recommend staying at Anna's place.
We stayed with Anna 2 nights. She was extremely welcoming and made us feel very comfortable in her home. I would highly recommend this place and especially Anna as she turned our rainy days into a very pleasant trip. She even offered us tea and scones before we left for the airport in the middle of the afternoon. Thank you!

Hello, I'm Anna.
What can I say? I love my home, neighbourhood and the cushy lifestyle I seem to live these days. My apartment on Kippax Street has been home to me for almost 4 years. Fabulous flatmates have been and gone, countless friends have crashed on the couch. Such a find it is, my friends and family tend to "rent it out" to their friends when they're in town, if I happen to have the room spare.
So when a workmate told me about AirBnB, I thought, why not? Sounds like a great idea and totally my thing. Having travelled a whole bunch of places around the world, the places I remember as the best are those that are comfortable (a good bed with nice sheets), a bit homely (warm lights and space to lounge in) and easy (central location and not too many stairs to lug suitcases up- I have creaky knees!). Well- I have all those things and I love the idea of my home being someone else’s ideal find.
I have spent time working in community development both overseas and in Australia, now more recently moved into the commercial health sector. I guess what that means is that I’ve got a pretty broad appreciation of the life experiences of others, and I’m down with enough management jargon to take on any consultant with buzz words ;)
If you can overlook that my little obsession of collecting textiles from the Orient everything will be fine. I’m super easy going, so feel free to just be yourself and enjoy your travels!
