Marinha Guincho is located at the highest point of Quinta da Marinha estate, located in the middle of the Sinta- Cascais natural park, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Guincho beach. It takes only four minutes by car to get to the beach or alternatively a pleasant walk.
It only takes a 25 minute car ride to get from Cascais to Lisbon via the A5 Lisbon-Cascais. A more scenic possibility is following the beautiful coast line. Cascais is a 30 minute drive from Lisbon international airport and 10 minutes from Tires airport.
Cascais has an excellent train connection with Gare do Oriente in the heart of Lisbon. It is the main transportation hub in Lisbon for trains, metro buses and taxis. The station is located next to Vasco da Gama shopping centre and at a stone throw of several popular attractions in Parque das Nações (Park of nations). A return train ticket from Cascais to Gare de Oriente costs approximately 2.30 Euro’s. A taxi to Lisbon will cost approximately 20 Euro’s.
A looped bus line, BusCas, serves the town and the nearby surrounding area. For travelling further afield there is an extensive bus service, mainly operating from the bus station beneath the shopping centre opposite the train station.
The most convenient form of transport is by bike. Bicycles are free to rent through the municipal council’s BiCas scheme. When renting a bike you only need your ID and accommodation address. The area is beautiful for cycling and the roads are excellent. From the beach you can go in the direction Cabo de Rocca (Europe’s most western point) and afterwards continuing in the direction of Sintra through the heart of the natural park. Cycling to Cascais town via the Avenida Rei Humberto II de Italia, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is also recommendable.
Michael his house is well situated. The staff tries to be very flexible, but overall, the price-quality rate is under what it should be. When the maintenance is up to date, I would try it again.
Fantastic holiday villa! We had an amazing two week holiday, enjoying the peaceful setting of Marinho Guincho, the club house is just a five minute walk away and has a great swimming pool, sun loungers and lovely cafe. The villa is really well equipped, very spacious, modern and clean.
The local village is a five minute walk away where we took the bus to Cascais where we enjoyed the beaches and cafes.
Vasco was so helpful and did everything he could to make our holiday easy. We were always made to feel very welcome.
We'll definitely be back!
Nice house, great view, wonderful people there! Definitelya place to go!
