This place is central to Haleiwa's Sunset Beach, with food trucks in walking distance as well as the traditional store Foodland. Something of Note: there's a 2-car garage that comes with the place. A definite Plus. And the beach...the world famous Sunset Beach of Oahu's north shore. Even in July, we had the whole beach to ourselves. Incredible!

There were some unflattering reviews on here but I thought it was a little unwarranted. I thought the place was very clean. The tub, if once clogged, now drains fine. Towels aren't super white as someone commented but are very clean and I didn't have any issue whatsoever with it. The bathroom, while clean was not sparkling or on par with a five star hotel. If that's what you're looking for... then stay at a five star hotel. Rooms were all clean. Furnishing aren't top of the line, but are more than adequate. The loveseat was a little hard, but the single chairs were comfy. The beds were a little on the firm side and springy. It's not plushy (again not a five star hotel) but I slept well and comfortably and I woke up feeling great with no discomfort. Wasn't looking for a place with AC, so when I discovered the place had it (it was on when I walked in), I was in heaven. It's been a hot summer and the AC was a total blessing. Lots of kitchen utensils, appliances and ware were available, which we didn't use as we ate out mostly. Kitchen doesn't come stocked, so aside from some questionable spices, you'd have to stock up on groceries (including coffee) if you want to home away from home it comfortably. It's close to Foodland and Coffee Bean and Tea, so shopping and getting a coffee fix will be a cinch once you can maneuver the parking lot. The garage is well stocked with bikes, boogie boards and other stuff I didn't make use of. Some of the bikes had flat tires and rust, but others were okay... regardless it was nice to have access. I'm a bit of a hypochondriac so all I saw was Tetanus when I looked at those bikes, but I admit I'm neurotic like that. The house is on a median which fronts the street that faces the homes that have the beach as their backyard. It's a short walk to the beach, but the beach is large and walking to the shore is a little bit of a trek if you don't like walking. So, expect a lot of sand. A lot of beaches here have a small shoreline but this beach has a lot of sandy expanse. The beach is beautiful, the water is beautiful, and it's easy to walk to. It's only a pain if you're used to walking to the water within 10 feet of the sand starting. My boyfriend fishes so he thought it was too far to drag all his equipment over. I was fine. Overall, I really liked this place. My boyfriend really liked it and would go there again, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who did not have five star standards. Everything was clean and comfortable and if I stayed a little longer I probably would've liked it even more as I would've made use of all the cool stuff...

If you want to stay close to beautiful, uncrowded, sandy beaches, or surf world class waves, or experience authentic north shore lifestyle, look no further. A super short walk to the beach, a traveling family will not want to leave. The warm outdoor shower is very nice after the beach. Great location for surfers!

Pros: 1. Great location a mile walking distance from Foodland and food trucks on north shore. 2. Pack and Play provided for our toddler. Cons: 1. Tub was visibly dirty and did not drain, so when you took a shower you were standing in water. 2. Bath towels were also visibly stained. 3. I emailed the host to ask about fans because it was hot. Never got a response.

First of all the unit we were in did not look like the photos shown. I'm wondering if perhaps the photos on the website are actually unit A. The photos looked much nicer than what we rented. The good news first. The location is great, a very short walk to a beautiful beach. Bikes in the garage and pay per use w/d. The house was very clean on our arrival with enough towels for the four of us. Comfortable beds. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Nice kitchen. Don't be alarmed by the exterior....much better inside. The tables were clean and shiny..the shiny surface turned out to be a bit oily as if the wrong type of cleaner was used. We washed them with soap and water and the oil came off. There are some loose bathroom tiles that could use repair. The window shades in the bedrooms need replacing. It would be great to have a clothes line in the yard for wet towels and suits. It would be good to have some key bike locks for the bikes.

The house was such a great spot to spend the weekend in with good friends. The unit was clean, well put together and had everything we needed for a relaxing and low budget stay (we used the kitchen a lot) There were two big bedrooms that separated by the living room which made for good privacy if needed. The unit is also divided from the other unit by the garage (huge garage). Quiet streets and the yard flank the other sides making for a secluded and peaceful home. The surrounding areas are as described with delicious food trucks nearby including an Acai Truck just a few minutes walk. The best part is the beach literally 50 yards away with beautiful sunsets and some of the biggest waves in the world to watch or surf only a half mile away at Pipeline. This place was amazing and made our trip a lifelong memory!
