The Space

We are just 1.5 blocks from the heart of Cusco's Plaza de Armas! It will take you 2min to walk there from our apartment. Whether you're in Cusco for business or pleasure our fully self-contained apartment for couples, or singles, is an intimate space, full of warmth and all modern creature comforts. Designed to meet any traveller's needs, so you can just get out there and enjoy Cusco's historic surroundings. You'll look forward to coming home!

We are the closest apartment overlooking the historic Plaza de Armas! Forget taxi's and waiting for hotel courtesy buses; this property is in the heart of down-town. Our studio apartment is an open floor plan and contains everything you will need (and some extra touches from my wish-list and experiences travelling for over 20years!). This prime location puts the best of Cusco right at your front door!

10 minute walk from your door:
Sacsayhuaman is the most significant ruin in the Cusco area and is also the closest to the city. Sacsayhuaman is thought to have been a fortress, with both military and religious significance.

Not Just an Apartment:
South America presents a unique set of challenges and when visiting Cusco, high in the Andes mountains, the altitude can further complicate your travels. Our vast experience in assisting our guests from all over the world will help you settle quickly and comfortably.

When travelling South America our guests are pleasantly surprised to discover just how close we are to the city centre (Plaza de Armas) and the level of luxury offered in our fully furnished, boutique apartment. With internet, large screen LCD TV with DVD and Sony Playstation3 with Blue-Ray, filtered water system for drinking, full kitchen facilities and dining table, heating and King size bed with memory foam built-in, you'll sleep well after exploring the ancient surrounds of Cusco.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Excellent Cusco location. Very quiet. Roomy for 2. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed.
The apartment was cold, even though there was a space heater, but almost all accomodations in Cusco are cold.
The hot water did not work the last morning. The gas tank was full, and we tried changing the batteries in the water heater´s ignition system.
The property is actually managed by an outgoing friendly woman named Katherine.
We would probably return to this apartment.

  • This large studio apartment is a perfect base to explore Cusco, only a couple of minutes from the main Plaza. We ended up rebooking to come back here after visiting Machu Picchu.

The apartment was locally managed by Katherin, who was always available, charming and helpful.
    - Katherin met us at the airport and organized a cab, for 25 soles (apparently 15-25 is normal).
    - She helped plan our day trip around Sacred Valley, getting us a great driver/guide (Magnun) to pick us up in Ollantaytambo with a rental car for 180 soles.
    - Helped with 'fast service' laundry on our last day.

Minor issues to be aware of:
    - Cusco is *cold* at night, and the apartment is large. The gas heater is a fine idea in theory. Unfortunately it's unusable as it fills the place with headache-inducing gas 100% of the time. Like other tenants, we got Katherin to bring in an electric heater (no doubt at greater cost to the host). Maybe a new unit is required.
    - The PS3 is a nice touch but the controller is broken making it unusable.

Special mention for the bed, which is huge, comfortable and extremely well insulated.

(email hidden) to stay - we'd come back in a second.

  • Staying in this apartment was the perfect end to our 3 weeks trip in Peru. It is a lovely apartment, spacious, has everything one needs to spend some time in Cuzco and feel home away from home. Nice shower, great big bed, good Wi-Fi, and fantastic view. If I would come back to Cuzco, it would be the first plave I would think of to rent again!

  • This apartment was just as pictured- spacious, great views, great location. All around, wonderful. One of the perks that might not be listed is that there is a faucet with filtered water located in the apartment= really convenient for travelers who aren't able to drink unfiltered water. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. The only slightly strange aspect was that the bathroom/toilet only has a curtain separating it from the rest of the room- this certainly was not a problem, but something to be aware of. Plus, dealing with Katherine was great- she was very helpful and even kept our bags for us while we were on a trek to Macchu Pichu. All (email hidden) to stay!!

  • This is an excellent spot from which to explore Cusco. The apartment is nice looking, spacious and minutes away from the Plaza de Armas, on the second floor of an old building with several apartments and an attractive courtyard. It also has a terrific view and is quiet. Katherine, the person who handles arrangements for the apartment, was extremely helpful, warm and took care of any difficulties promptly. She was able to provide a driver to pick us up at the airport (coming along herself) and for a day trip to the Sacred Valley.

Any Air BnB patron certainly knows that staying in people's apartments is not like staying in a hotel and so you do have to be ready for a more "real life" experience. In our case this meant a blocked shower drain that over flowed into the kitchen area, requiring some work on our part to dry everything out. Katherine took care of this problem promptly. Like many living places in Cusco, this apartment is a bit of a climb from the center of town, not far, but with the altitude of the city, it takes getting used to.

Our only gripe was with the propane heater provided. Cusco can be chilly at times and we would have liked to have heat on occasion. Unfortunately, the heater gave off fumes which seemed possibly dangerous, so we didn't use it.

  • Great location and view of Plaza de Armas. The apartment was clean and spacious. We met Catherine but not Matthew. She was very friendly and helpful.

However there was no running water between 9pm and 9:30am when we stayed there. This was quite frustrating and delayed some of our planned activities.

  • The best thing about this apartment it's is location and view! The place is comfortable and certainly not as expensive as everything else you might find in Cusco. Katherine (the administrator) went out of her way to help us, supplying us with valuable information.
