Private room in convenient location

Apartment - Private room · 4th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94118, United States

We prefer month-long stays/sublets. We are currently looking to book July and the rest of the summer. This is a great spot to stay for a month or two while you look for permanent housing. We've hosted 8 new-comers so far!

The Space

***We prefer month long stays/sublets. We are currently looking to book July and the rest of the summer. This is a great spot to stay for a month or two while you look for permanent housing. We've hosted 8 new-comers so far!***

The Basics:
We have a fully furnished guest bedroom in a three-bedroom apartment in The Inner Richmond. The room has a full-size bed with clean linens, a dresser, sliding door closet, and a large antique mirror. There is a living room with a sofa, chairs, and a TV. There is also a kitchen that you are free to use while here. We keep our home clean, and ask you do the same while you stay here.

The Neighborhood:
Our home is located in safe and convenient neighborhood with easy access to almost anywhere else in San Francisco you’d want to go. We are just a few blocks away from Golden Gate Park, The de Young Museum, The California Academy of Sciences, and San Francisco’s Botanical Gardens. The Inner Richmond has many shops and things to explore during the day, and also happens to have some fantastic restaurants for you to enjoy if you decide to stay in the neighborhood for the evening. When you want to explore the city, it is very easy to get almost anywhere in the city from here, with tons of MUNI bus lines just a few blocks away. The 33 bus line connects us to The Haight, The Castro, The Mission, and Potrero Hill neighborhoods. The 1 and 2 take you through Pacific Heights, Nob Hill, North Beach, and ends up down at either Fisherman’s Warf or The Embarcadero/Ferry Building. The 31 or 5 can also take you downtown (BART) or out to the ocean at Ocean Beach. The 38 is also just outside our house, and that’ll take you straight downtown/Union Square. All of these bus lines are within 4 blocks of our home.

More Details:
There will be clean sheets and blankets for you upon your arrival. The mattress is really comfortable and has a deluxe mattress pad on it. There is an extra air mattress in the closet of the guest bedroom if you need to use it. Street parking is available if you have a car, and while you don't need a pass on our street, you need to pay close attention to the signs regarding street cleaning. Laundry facilities and plenty of markets/grocery stores are nearby if you need them. If you are staying for an extended period of time, you may use the washer/drier in the apartment. This is a safe space for any LGBT travelers. We have a television in the living room with cable (HBO and Showtime are included) and you are free to relax in there while you are here. We have WiFi and a kitchen with tons of equipment in it for you to use. There is a built-in heating unit in the guest bedroom.

This is a great place to stay if you’re visiting San Francisco. We are also open to having longer temporary guests. If you’re looking for a furnished apartment as a temporary sublet while you are looking for more permanent housing in San Francisco, our extra bedroom is perfect for you. We don't do sublets longer than 60 days.

We’ve traveled a lot using Airbnb, and are excited to host ourselves. We have maps and guides for you to check out while staying with us, and are more than willing to help you find your way around the city. We are pretty flexible about check in/out time. My roommate and I are both very busy individuals, and there is a chance that only one of us will be around while you stay here. We work daytime hours, and are gone most of the day, although we may work from home every now and then during the week. We are pretty laid back, but just ask that you not be loud at night and clean up after yourself. Send us a message before booking if you have any questions. See you soon!

Check In
  • I stayed in the room for two months on a prolonged business trip in San Francisco. Jonny and Amber were amazing accommodating, and just generally good people! The room was clean, had everything you'd expect it to have, and the neighbourhood was amazing.

  • I stayed here for six weeks, and I couldn't have asked for better hosts! Not only were Jonny and Amber so helpful when I was trying to figure out what to do and how to get there around the city, but they are also just friendly people in general and I'm glad I got to know them. They're both so down to earth and easy to talk to.

The common areas were always kept clean, which I appreciated, and the apartment was a great, quiet place to come back to after a busy day. Having two 38 bus stops close by made commuting a breeze, too.

Stay with Jonny and Amber if you want a fantastic location, great amenities, and the best hosts you could ask for!

  • Jonny and his roommate Amber took me into their abode and made my first month in San Fran absolutely incredible. Not only did they provide me with a home-away-from-home but were also great comfort to come home to after a busy day at work. The room is in the perfect location, close for commute into the city and in the hub of some of the best Asian food you can find in the city. To say I will miss living with Jonny is only the beginning. To whomever is lucky enough to sleep under his and Amber's roof, you are one lucky duck!
