Ray and Russ were great hosts. They were very understanding and helpful with my stay. Thank you Ray and Russ
We don't recommend this place! This place is run as a poorly managed hostel. It has bed bugs. The owner was not there at arrival and we couldn't check in. It is overbooked. When Russ confirms your booking doesn't actually mean you get what he describes here. The picture don't match this place at all. They were taken a year ago or so. It is very dirty and run down. We didn't sleep well the nights we stayed there.
we didn't stay at the place advertized cause there was an overbooking. the other place was in a better position, but we had a problem with a bed that was almost falling; we reported that to the owner and hope he fixed it. another fact is that probably there aren't enough bathrooms for all the people but this is a point of wiew.
its reasonable place.and hosts are great.
this place was so much fun. quite at night, I turned 19 in this house and everyone was so cool. We had a party and everyone celebrated . I stayed here for almost 3 weeks and meet a lot of people. Some people stay for one or two nights and keep to themselves but for the most part the long term people are so cool. I made some awesome friends that i would have not met in a hotel. yes the bathrooms might not be clean but thats only because you leave it that way and nobody cleans up after you. :D I love this place and highly recommend it. Any complaints about this place are by older people expecting more for their bucks. $29 dollars is cheap and Russ is a really really cool, understanding and helpful guy. I feel he is doing this really to bring people from different backrounds together, not just to make money ... i love it and will be back some day. :)
Aubrey was a great host. Very friendly and always keeping the bathroom and kitchen clean. The only problem was the flies in the lounge room when the door was open but that only happened in the day when i was out, so at night when id come home they were gone. Subway was super close which was great for me. Looks a little dodgy at first but was a great stay, met some awesome people.
Friendly staff really trying to make you feel yourself at home. I would not recommend it to people traveling by themselves because of the area though.
This experience was amazing. I met some really awesome people and the room was cleaner than I imagined. We had a fun bone fire one night and I got the entire house to try one of my favorite drinks. Russ was very helpful and amazing when it came to my crazy schedule. When I needed to add more days he was there to help. I love this place and I if I ever need to stay at a hostel again I will be returning to this place. It's an amazing experience to say the least.
I had a very good time at Russ's place. It's not a new house but they're still renovating. Marine is doing a great job with keeping the house clean.
It'll take you about 7 min to walk to the metro station. It's about half an hour to NY and a bit more to Manhattan. The area is good and safe so far, but I still tried to be at home before it was getting dark. You're getting really the feeling that you're in America.
I enjoyed my time there a lot and got to know other young travellers from all over the world. Thanks, Marine and Russ!
