For our second visit, Giovanna proved to be the perfect hostess for our group of 4. She was helpful and communicative ahead of our arrival, phoned to make dinner reservations for us, helped with tourist-y recommendations, and prepared another wonderful home-made breakfast for us (with as many espressos as we needed to help with Jetlag). If you're in the area we recommend looking Giovanna up - we hope to visit again as soon as we can. :)
Giovanna is a gracious host - she provided assistance and directions to help us make it the last mile to her place in the dark, she recommended (and even called) a local restaurant for us to grab a late dinner upon arrival, helped us with sightseeing suggestions, provided a fan to keep us cool at night - it's an old farmhouse so no air-conditioning - prepared a wonderful, home-cooked traditional breakfast, and generally went out of her way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We hope she will let us stay again on a future visit to this part of Italy.
Giovanna is a very warm and friendly hospitable lady. She left me to it, gave me a key and a nice big room with its own bathroom next door. Good coffee in the morning with classic italian simple but nice breakfast, it was a nice experience. Thanks for your hospitality
We only overnighted with Giovanna on the way through to meet a train in Verona, so did not really have a chance to look around the local area much. Giovanna was most helpful though and the room was large, with a shared bathroom (only one other room, but it was empty during our stay). The property is the family farmhouse and farm and is being restored over time. Giovanna was baking for our breakfast which kept our 4 year old occupied during the afternoon, chatting away and trying to play with Giovanna's cats. They could get away if needed! The brioche and muffins she made were lovely, and the muesli she bought for us was great. She did not mind an early start either which helped us get out the door to drive to Verona to meet the train. We even did a load of washing at night and Giovanna popped the clothes in the dryer for us while we were out at a local restaurant 'Trattoria Toschi' she recommended (which was really lovely!) so they were dry when we got home.
A very helpful and friendly host with good english which made it easier for us to learn a little about her as well as the local area.
Nice and warm welcome at Casale Dei Noci. Nice quiet place to stay. Excellent for passing or to visit Modena, Parma,..Casa Dei Noci is a beautiful house with comfortable chambers. Possibility of free wifi, television, and breakfast at any time. Giovanna is the perfect and relaxed hostess!
A place to remember.
Isn't it easier to meet me, talk and make your own personal opinion??
Anyway, what can I say about myself? I get sick of routine but I know very well how addictive it can be: a risk I'll learn to avoid sooner or later!
I'm always willing to learn new stuff, meet new people, visit new places, and especially love getting lost behind a story.
I'm quite outgoing and very tolerant. Don't push me too much, though!
THE WORLD IS SMALLER THAN YOU THINK :)
