Michael is a great host and did everything to make us feel welcome. He was a little late but texted us well in advance. Great service. The room was big and nicely decorated, and the English breakfast was good. Achilles too is a very hospitable and well-behaved host. Finally, the surroundings are beautiful, with an old copper mine across the valley. Recommended!
We very much enjoyed our stay with Michael and Marcelo. Peaceful, quiet and a wonderful breakfast. Lovely location and easy to find.
We were a little family group,1 daughter granddaughter,2 dogs and myself. We were all greated to make us feel comfortable and at ease.Nicely refurbished and decorated old house, quietly locatedbut still near the village of Avoca.Breakfast was served to our wishes so plentifull it kept us going for most of the day.A big thankyou to the hosts and their lovely dog for making this this perfect stay for us.
Michael was more than patient with us as we got very lost and eventually arrived at 11pm.
Very quiet first night in Ireland. Accommodations were basic, but comfortable and clean. M&M were very helpful with ideas about our trip at hand, and Achilles had nothing but encouragement to give!
Also a great introduction to the "Irish breakfast", as it became our mainstay meal to start each day.
Michael gave us a great welcome and was a fantastic host...as was Marcelo who cooked a beautiful breakfast for us. The room was fantastic...we loved the decor...it was clean, very individual (not like a hotel room)...warm and spacious with a spectacular view of Avoca. Michael offered to go beyond the call of duty and drop us to the venue where we were seeing Luka Bloom that night...and to pick us up! After the concert...we were offered tea and biscuits late at night...couldn't have asked for more. Our son loved Achilles the dog too...who definitely added to our stay!
