About this listing
The studio is with a terrace and is at the foot of Assisi, very close to the Assisi train station and about 30 minutes walk to the Assisi historical center / 10 minutes by bus. It is also by train 20 minutes from Perugia, 2 hours from Florence (direct train) and 2 hours from Rome (also direct train). It has a beautiful view of the city of Assisi that you can admire from the balcony and everything is in a walking distance, including grocery store, lyric theater, city swimming pool, bus stop, train station, restaurants and everything else you might need during your stay.
The size of the studio is approximately 350 Sq. feet (35 square meters) and it is on the second floor with elevator. In the same building on the ground floor there are many shops, including a coffee shop, barber, home supplies shop and a grocery store.
It is conveniently located at 1/4 of a mile from the Assisi train station and practically you don't need private transportation. It comes with air conditioning and central heat. It has a full kitchen and sleeps 2 people (or 3 if needed). There is also a washer, otherwise there is a laundromat shop on the ground level.
Have fun in Italy and I hope that your plans include a stay in Assisi, a beautiful town not to be missed to visit.
The location was unbeatable (train and bus station close-by, in walking distance from the middle of Assisi, and there was a free parking space for those of us traveling via car), the apartment was very clean and well equipped (clothes washing machine available for use, sheets, towels, dishes, etc), and Stefano was reachable for any inquiries that came up (responded to email and texts within minutes while we were staying in the apartment). As many before us, at arrival we met with Stefano’s brother, who mainly speaks Italian — this is not an issue that anyone should be worried about. While we didn’t know any Italian, communication during the tour of the apartment was not a problem at all. All around amazing! Stefano’s apartment is high on my list of recommendations for anyone visiting the area.
Stefano's place is definitely great value. Even though we did not meet him in person, he ensured that we were taken care of. Tommaso, his brother, picked us up from the station right on time. He drove us to the apartment and showed up how things worked. Though his English was limited, he made sure we understood everything and even called Stefano to help translate for us. The place was clean, the water was hot, the air conditioner worked, and the internet never failed us. The extremely close proximity to the supermarket and bus/train station was a godsend. The neighborhood was safe and well-lit. I had a question for Stefano and he made sure that he found a way to answer me via email, text, and phone.
The apartment has an excellent location near the Assisi train station and is modern and well equipped. Tommaso met me at the station and was very helpful in showing me the apartment and the location of the nearest supermarket.
Stefano's apartment was perfect for our visit to Assisi. It's just a 5 minute walk from the Assisi train station and it even has a laundromat, grocery, and cafe in the same complex. Even though we didn't need a barber, there was also one of those on the premises. The studio apartment was very spacious and had more than basic necessities - kitchen with fridge and stove, a clothes washer, a drying rack for the clothes, and a shelf storage with multiple cubes to house all our travel accessories. Stefano even provided us with a big bottle of water and a bottle of wine to start us off. As far as commuting to and from, the bus stop to anywhere is at the train station and you can get the tickets for the bus at the café, store, or visitor Discovery Center. It was so easy to get around town from the studio apartment. Stefano is a very responsive host and was very quick to reply to any questions we had. His brother Tommaso met us at the train station when we arrived and even drove us to the apartment, which by car is only one minute away. Tommaso speaks very little English but was very helpful in getting us situated in the apartment. He showed us how to use the gas, balcony screen, Wi-Fi, TV, and how to use the keys properly to get in and out of the apartment and the complex. We learned a few basic phases of Italian and used Google translator to communicate with him so it wasn't really a problem at all. When we revisit Assisi, we're definitely going to come back to Stefano's studio apartment! We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Stefano's studio apartment to anyone visiting Assisi or other nearby towns.

About the Host, Stefano
I have been a member of AirBnB for quite some time now. I am originally from Umbria, Italy, a beautiful region that Italians call "the green heart of Italy" or "the land of Saints". My region has maintained the untouched beauty of medieval towns and Assisi is probably the best.
I completed my studies at the University of Perugia and gratuated in Business & Administration. After my studied I moved to the US, where I have been living until now.
Since I am traveling a lot, my family is helping me to manage the apartment.
You will be glad to make Assisi one of your next vacation destinations.
See you there!
