Studio with great View of Assisi

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Viale Gabriele D'Annunzio, Santa Maria degli Angeli, Umbria 06081, Italy

The Space

The studio is with a terrace and is at the foot of Assisi, very close to the Assisi train station and about 30 minutes walk to the Assisi historical center / 10 minutes by bus. It is also by train 20 minutes from Perugia, 2 hours from Florence (direct train) and 2 hours from Rome (also direct train). It has a beautiful view of the city of Assisi that you can admire from the balcony and everything is in a walking distance, including grocery store, lyric theater, city swimming pool, bus stop, train station, restaurants and everything else you might need during your stay.
The size of the studio is approximately 350 Sq. feet (35 square meters) and it is on the second floor with elevator. In the same building on the ground floor there are many shops, including a coffee shop, barber, home supplies shop and a grocery store.
It is conveniently located at 1/4 of a mile from the Assisi train station and practically you don't need private transportation. It comes with air conditioning and central heat. It has a full kitchen and sleeps 2 people (or 3 if needed). There is also a washer, otherwise there is a laundromat shop on the ground level.
Have fun in Italy and I hope that your plans include a stay in Assisi, a beautiful town not to be missed to visit.

  • Tomas met us at the train station and took us to the unit, only two blocks away. A newer condo building with a lovely courtyard and stores to boot. The location was excellent, a quick run up the hill to Assisi (about 5km). Parking available at the top.
Unit was clean and well equipped. Bed was satisfactory and shower was great! Washer worked very good. Close to several good restaurants. We would stay there again. Steve & Geri

  • This is an extremely modern and comfortable apartment. Its location, just two minutes walk from the station, and a bus stop to take me around to either lower town basilica or the historic Upper town..It would be hard to find a better location that neatly solves the problem of whats better; to be locate din teh Upper or Lower Town..The bar downstairs is also extremely pleasant and welcoming and teh supermarket on site made home cooking easy. I was met at the station by Tommaso; Stefano's brother, who was very helpful in getting to teh apartment and oriented.. and the apartment had been immaculately cleaned before I arrived. For value, comfort and location; five stars...

  • We found this apartment to be a wonderful place to stay. It is very close to the train station. It comes with free parking which was very handy. The apartment was very roomy and comfortable. We also made use of Stefano's washing machine. There is a good grocery that is very close and we bought one meal there that we cooked in the apartment. There is a bus from the train station to town that we used and I think is very convenient, but we found a little confusing to understand how it worked (start, stop times, pick up frequency and there are three different bus loops around Assisi). I would suggest figuring this out first thing. We also used the taxi one evening which were always ready at the station. We would stay here again and Stephano was very responsive and helpful with any question we had.

  • I found it very good overall. It was well-located - near the train station and bus stop. We also needed to attend concerts at the Theatre Lyrick nextdoor, so that was really handy. The house was clean and well-stocked with household things that were necessary.(towels, bed-linen, kitchen stuff) The only problem was that the gas wasn't working. We wanted to make tea and couldn't. (The weather was sweltering anyway, so this was just a minor detail of course) The communication between ourselves and Stefano was very good and I enjoyed staying at this property of his. I would definitely recommend it.

    Response from Stefano:

    Hi Rachel,
the gas for the stove had two handles to turn it on, one next to the stove and another one next to the entrance door. Sorry that you were able to use the stove.
The apartment had also air conditioning with the remote control that was left in the apartment. I know that summer is usually very hot in Assisi!
Thank you for being such a nice guest.

  • Hi Stefano, thanks for letting us stay in your apartment in Assisi, it is in a great location so close to the railway station and the bus into Assisi. The apartment is very comfortable and has very thing we needed, the supermarket is very handy down stairs. Your brother was very kind and show us where everything was, If your visiting Assisi don't look past this apartment, its great, thanks again Lia

About
Hi everybody! I have been a member of AirBnB for quite some time now. I am originally from Umbria, Italy, a beautiful region that Italians call "the green heart of Italy" or "the land of Saints". My region has maintained the untouched beauty of medieval towns and Assisi is probably the best. I completed my studies at the University of Perugia and gratuated in Business & Administration. After my studied I moved to the US, where I have been living until now. Since I am traveling a lot, my family is helping me to manage the apartment. You will be glad to make Assisi one of your next vacation destinations. See you there!
