About this listing

A classic and charming Chicago apartment right on Division St. in hip Wicker Park! The unit is on the 3rd floor allowing lots of gorgeous natural light! It features wood floors, one private bedroom with a queen size bed, one bathroom, a big kitchen ideal for cooking, spacious living room with a comfortable couch that can sleep 1-2 extra guests*, and a private back deck.
As it is a vintage apartment building, there are some imperfections and creaking in the floor, but those are the details that I love - including the awesome vintage moulding, etc.
There is access to wifi and an in unit washer and dryer.
Just a note: I am a very clean and tidy person, living in a smoke-free unit, so if you have allergies or are looking for a guaranteed clean place to stay, no need to worry about dust bunnies or lingering smoke smell here!
I have a beautiful fat girl cat named Spud. She's the absolute sweetest and will quietly sit next to you as long as you let her. If you don't mind her staying with you at the apartment and being the ultimate hostess, we can discuss it when we talk. Otherwise, I have no problem relocating her during your stay.
(PLEASE state whether you are ok with Spud staying when you send an inquiry!)
You will be provided with clean sheets and towels.
The unit is located above a five star restaurant and is just steps from tons of other cafes, restaurants, bars and nightlife. It is a 5 minute walk or $5 cab ride to the famous 6 Corners area in Wicker Park where there is more fun to be had and sights to see. It is steps to the Division St. bus and a few blocks from the El blue line subway station, which will have you downtown or uptown in 15 minutes.
You will always find parking within a block or two of home. Wood St. and Honore St. are cost free and permit free, and there are 7am-10pm pay to park spots up and down Division St.
(*Price may vary slightly depending on amount of guests and pets.)
(Smoking allowed on back deck.)

We had a great weekend staying at Megan and Steve's! The apartment is just as it appears in the pictures. It was an easy transit on the metro to and from the airport and into the city (maybe 15 min). There are a lot of great bars and restaurants right in the Wicker Park area (We loved MoonShine, Fat Pour, and Smoke Daddy), and we felt safe walking around late at night! Speedy the cat was great company during our stay and we would stay here again if visiting Chicago!
The reservation was canceled 27 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Megan was so great to meet us at her place close to midnight on a Friday night- even after our flight was delayed! Everything was super clean and as advertised and all the little touches (like coffee) made our stay great. Megan responded quickly to texts all weekend, Speedy the cat was so friendly, and the location was perfect. Would definitely recommend this place! :)
The flat was clean, cozy and perfectly located. I didn't get to meet Megan or Steve in person, but they were very accessible and responsive and Speedy (their cat) was a great host! I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!
Meg and Steve's apartment was absolutely perfect for us, and is just as you would imagine from the photos here. Surrounded by great coffee, cafes, bars and restaurants, plus quick and easy access to downtown, we would be happy to make it our base for every future trip to Chicago. Meg (and Steve I'm sure) was really wonderful and very accommodating to arrange a last minute booking, go Meg! we felt fabulously at home in their lovely pad, which is clean and light and packed with treasures and we even had Speedy to welcome us home and keep toes warm. Thank you guys for a wonderful weekend in Chicago I hope air bnb treats you as well as can be. And yes, Smoke Daddy downstairs IS GREAT. Loved it all.
What a great location--this apartment is central to so many things, close to the Blue Line, Wicker Park, and lots of good bakeries, bars, and restaurants. The hosts, Steve and Megan, are really nice and quick to respond to questions. And the unit has a washer & dryer, a shower with good water pressure and lots of hot water, and a nice selection of vintage vinyl.
