I was pretty excited about the apartment, as the other reviews were decent and I am familiar with the area so I knew the location was good. The other reviews are right about the state of the apartment. It has such potential, however the outdated yard sale-like furniture make it a bit disappointing. The hallway leading up to the apartment is downright frightening. The showers are old and barely have hot water. The location is great, but parking is a nightmare. Overall the apartment served it's purpose. The only tip I can suggest is do not leave the apartment on check out day until you know your stuff is completely out. I had left a few items in the apartment early in the morning, but had emailed Craig to let him know I was coming back for them. When I came back to pick up the items- he had already taken them. Not very fair in my eyes considering there is not posted check out time, so I could have just stayed in the apartment all day rather then leaving at an appropriate time and giving him the courtesy of telling him I would be coming back. That honestly soured the entire trip. I really would have written a better review if I felt that the apartment wasn't ransacked as soon as I left. Needless to say, I will not be booking with Craig ever again- nor would I recommend it. The apartment isn't worth it for the money.
Even without meeting, Craig was a superb host. He left me detailed instructions on how to retrieve the keys and get into the apartment, which was huge and comfortable - coffee stocked in the kitchen! The next day, when my friend misplaced the house keys, Craig dropped off two extra sets in the lockbox without hesitation. I'd highly recommend this place!
We had a very nice stay with Craig. You just can't beat the location. The apartment has everything you need. We would certainly call Craig again and stay there.
Enjoyed staying at Craig's place. This is much more spacious than I anticipated. Two bedrooms and large living/dining area with a full kitchen and washer dryers. I would recommend to anyone needing more space.
Location worked well for us. Very walkable to local sites and restaurants.
Craig and Craig's apt is a exceptionally nice place to stay and I would highly recommend it. Location is top notch and the apt itself is beautiful. Two great bed rooms, a massive living room / dinning room area and and even more beautiful back patio. Craig is super responsive to emails and has an excellent key pick-up system.
Place is very centric! Others have describe
The apartment accurately. Good value for what was charged for a 2 bedroom. 2 bath. Apartment was very spacious with back patio!
The place was clean and well kept. When we arrived it was nice that the AC was on and although it was a very hot day - the cool temp inside welcomed us in at almost 11.30 pm. The towels sheets were clean and the home was spacious. Excellent location - walking distance to most places. I would have rated it 5 star but for the fire alarm malfunction that keep beeping for the weekend. Fortunately it was not too loud :))
Craig was very helpful the entire time we were there. He answered phone calls and emails with questions promptly. I would recommend his place to anyone! The outside balcony was a plus!
I would agree with ther reviews. This place is a good value for the money...it is spartan and functional, and has an awesome location in Rittenhouse Square. Dish TV was a plus! Craig was very responsive and easy to deal with.
First, the good -- very spacious. Great location. We could walk to most of center city in less than 30 minutes, and the buses / taxis make everything even more accessible. Location is truly excellent, and having a kitchen that had pots/pans, basic cooking utensils (even a corkscrew!) saved us big bucks. Trader Joe's is only a few blocks away, and we were able to easily cook. (FYI there was salt, pepper & a small jar of olive oil for cooking in the frying pans.)
But... there were some drawbacks. The furniture varies -- a very nice new couch in the living room (tags still attached), but the furniture in the bedrooms feels more like an old yard sale find. Bedding/linens appear to be pretty new.
The kitchen is really dated, but functional. The rooftop deck has so much potential, but has that same eclectic (neglected?) feel as the rest of the apartment. For example, there's a charcoal grill, but no charcoal or lighter fluid or matches.
Basically, just a few upgrades would help this place a lot.
Craig has responded to previous feedback and has supplied pots/pans, basic dishes/glasses & silverware. (The tube sock mentioned in a prior review, however, was still under the bed.) Hopefully this feedback will lead to an improved option for those looking for a good apartment on Airbnb.
