Our family had a fantastic time staying in this summer cabin. The outside area was just perfect for our two young children to play in and the cabin was spacious and well-equipped. The beautiful beach is only a few minutes walk away and we used the local train line to explore the area, enjoying visits to the new cultural centre and Maritime museum in Helsingor as well as the Louisiana museum. We loved the peace and the green surroundings here- a real escape! Thank you, Martin.
This is a really lovely summer cottage, well equipped and situated in a lovely area close to the beach and within easy reach of Copenhagen. We had a great stay, Martin is a very welcoming host. We were sorry to leave and would definitely return!
We had a great week in the summer cabin! Hornbæk is a lovely place, beautiful beach and a charming small town centre. The cabin was nice and relaxed. Great place to spend a week or two!
Martin was very friendly and easy to communicate with.
Our family of 4 stayed in Martin's house this June and loved it! The location is great. It comes with a nice big backyard the kids liked to play in. It's in a peaceful neighborhood with easy access to a gorgeous beach and a charming small town. The nearby super market and bakery made it easy for us, too. Shakespeare's castle is in the neighboring town, as well as a ferry to Sweden. The harbor of Hornbaek is in walking distance with several restaurants and a nice play ground for kids. Martin was very prompt and always kind with all of his responses. Super easy to communicate with and gave great tips. I highly recommend his cute house.
I stayed in Martins summerhouse with my mother (74) and two small children 2 and 3 years. The house was very convenient for us: a combined kitchen, dining and living room + 3 separate sleeping rooms. The house is situated in a quite summerhouse area, but still inside the small and very cute town of Hornbæk. I can recommend you to rent this summerhouse.
I would recommend this summerhouse rental highly. The house and facilities are excellent and the location is superb. Everything was as described. The town has a safe and clean beach and the house is an excellent base for exploring Copenhagen and the island of Zealand by car or by train. The Oresund bridge to Sweden is also very close.
We were four friends from Stockholm, London and Hong Kong staying at this house and we found it very nice and clean. Good location if you come by car. Beds were comfortable too! We tried the fire place and did our own cooking. There is a nice harbor and beach and a wonderful bakery in the nearby village (5-10 min by car). The local train stop is a 10-min walk from the house. We easily connected to the regional train for Copenhagen and left the car at the house to do the city; all worked out well. Martin acted as a welcoming host and was available in the area and online throughout our stay and replied to our questions instantly which made our stay really easy. This lovely house and the surroundings are designed to enjoy a good life!
About the Host, Martin
My name is Martin and I'm from Copenhagen. I travel as much as I can which is not enough. My travel style can best be described as 'busy'. I love hiking in mountains and super-long city walks. I'm very friendly and easy-going.
