J.C apartment has the best location you could ask (website hidden) was our first time in N.Y and we are definitely not the best with orientation but it was so easy to get to all the places we wanted to see. You ll have to try the food at the Amish market before you stop for a drink a the Gossip bar. The apartment itself is very nice with everything That you need. There is no hesitation for me to say that we will book it again for our next visit.
The apartment was perfect. Stylishly decorated, plenty of closet space (a real bonus for NYC), free WiFi, and well-equipped. It was smack in the heart of all those Midtown West restaurants near the old Hell's Kitchen edge of the Theater District, yet--crucially--was a back apartment, and all windows opened onto interior air shafts, so there was ZERO NOISE from the busy streets. That, to those unused to sleeping in a city, would be worth twice the price. My host couldn't meet me when I arrived (in the middle of a weekday, so totally understandable), but instead had a friend waiting at the door to escort me up and hand over the keys. Oh, and it was so perfect a location, I never even used the subway. I could walk, within 15-20 minutes, from Penn Station, the convention center, my appointment on the East Side, and really just about anywhere in Greater Midtown. I do believe I have found my new home for those Javits Center weekends.
This apartment is in such a brilliant location - especially if you love theatre and midtown NYC. JC was the perfect host, he had lots of good info about where to go and even waited up late for the delivery of my lost luggage that missed the flight I was on. I will definitely be back here.
The mid-town west location of J.C.'s apartment was ideal for our trip; It's an easy walk to great shopping, theatres, restaurants, etc. The apartment was secure, fairly quiet & well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. J.C. is a great host; responsive to our texts, on time to meet us with keys and very congenial. We highly recommend staying with J.C. Gil when next in NYC.
It is a lovely apartment and we really enjoy it. The apartment is close to subway and lots of restaurants and bar around . J.C is a really nice host. He was waiting for us even though we arrive at NYC late. We highly recommend this apartment and Thanks for J.C.
JC was an amazing host. My girlfriend and I got in later in the evening on our check in day and he was still there to meet us with the key and do a walk through of the flat. He suggested a great Italian food place just up the street and even let us check out late on our departure day.
The flat itself was clean and really close to everything we wanted to do. I had a great experience there and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay near times square!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first Airbnb experience. JC apartment is in a great location and his communication was excellent. We will recommend.
Great location. J.C. was good to communicate with. His Assistant was at the apartment waiting for our arrival and offered his assistance.
I decided to treat myself to four nights in The Big Apple to fully take advantage of theater and museums. J.C. was an excellent host and very responsive to any suggestions. I appreciate the previous guest who lamented the lack of a toaster. I was very happy that J.C. added one to the kitchen.
The apartment is ideally located right in the middle of the theater district. Nevertheless, it is extremely quiet. I was by myself and extremely comfortable. The bed (a regular double) might be a bit on the small side for a couple, but the mattress was firm and comfortable. Towels were fluffy and plentiful, and the kitchen well equipped. I plan to return next year.
The place looked so much like the photos that we felt like we were walking into the listing. J.C. was an amazing host on every level - polite, friendly, timely, and extremely accommodating. The location is central to so much of NYC. We walked to MOMA and caught a short cab to Chelsea as well as the East Village. Such a stellar experience across the board and looking forward to renting from J.C. again in the near future. Awesome first Airbnb experience!!
