  • We had a delightful stay with Marianne and Jim! Their house was immaculate, cozy and inviting. We have plans to relocate to the area, so we chose to stay here so that we would be close to downtown. Both Marianne and Jim gave us great recommendations on restaurants and a lot of information about the area. We walked all over town from their house! Every morning, we had coffee and tea out on the patio in their beautiful gardens and ate a leisurely breakfast. We plan to return to the SLO area this fall when we relocate, so we will book with Marianne and Jim again! It felt like staying in our own home, we were that welcomed and comfortable. Thank you guys for the lovely stay!

  • Marianne and Jim were lovely hosts who made us feel comfortable in their spacious and very clean home. Our little boy loved Marianne and sought her out every morning to chat with her while she made him fresh orange juice from the oranges in their yard! And Winnie, their dog, is friendly and easy going. We felt very welcome and loved the warmth of their home. Downtown was just a few blocks away and there was a great breakfast place just down the street from their house, near the train station. Would definitely stay with them again!

  • We stayed 13 nights while visiting our family who lives 4 blocks away in SLO. Perfect to be in the same neighborhood within walking distance. Our hosts were friendly and gracious. Using the kitchen to make breakfast and snacks was great. The living room and garden and front porch were accessible to us and made the stay relaxed and homey. The bed was comfortable and the bath immaculate. Plenty of privacy. The resident dog is very well behaved and sweet. Nice location for walking in town. parking on street was convenient. We would stay there again.

  • This was my first experience staying with a family and it was such a wonderful experience! I felt comfortable immediately. The house was amazing and the hosts Jim and Marianne were so nice and helpful. And of course Winnie the sweet dog was fun to have around. I highly recommend this and hope I get a chance to stay here again.

  • Marianne and Jim were gracious hosts and so was Winni. We loved sitting outside in their sunny, serene and very private garden. The room was delightfully spacious and bright, with 2 windows and a huge closet. The bathroom/shower very clean and the kitchen was open and inviting. I used their espresso machine but you can simply walk a couple of blocks and there are several coffee shops and restaurants nearby. I highly recommend staying at their lovely space. Location is perfect!!

Thank you Jackie! It was lovely meeting you!

Was will man mehr? Vielen Dank!!

  • Marianne and Jim (and their dog Winni) were delightful hosts! They are long-time residents and have excellent suggestions for activities in the area. They were so gentle and welcoming with our toddler as well. Marianne read him books every evening!

The room was exactly as pictured - and it felt even larger in person. The rest of the house was comfortable and spacious, and our hosts allowed us to use the shared areas as though we were part of the family. And the backyard was a real treat! A peaceful fountain, birds, grass to lounge on, and a shaded area as well.

The location is perfect - SLO downtown is just a 15 minute walk away, and is through a historic neighborhood with lovely houses and gardens. There is even an exclusive bike route right into downtown. If we ever found ourselves in SLO, we would definitely choose to stay here again!

  • Our week-long stay with Marianne and Jim was our first time using airbnb and I must say that they have set the bar high. They are excellent and delightful hosts. Their house is very nice and comfortable and they made us feel right at home. Great location with easy walking/biking to downtown and beyond. Highly recommended!

  • !Marianne was super nice. Her house + the bedroom were really great and reasonably priced. They were great hosts, helping us find good places to eat, and making sure we were well taken care of while in the house. They even had an adorable dog! Would definitely recommend them

  • This was my first time using Airbnb and I was a little hesitant. Marianne and her husband Jim made my experience so pleasant that I did not want to leave. Seriously. Their home is very cozy and their manner is very inviting. I couldn't help but feel part of the family! I can't express how nice it was to stay with them during my first few weeks in a new town. They go above and beyond making you feel comfortable. Their dog is also amazing and I will really miss her. After a long day at work, I really looked forward to their company and great conversation. I can't recommend them enough!
