Interaction with guests
The hosts are a couple with grown up children. The attic floor is private but the bathroom is on floor below. The toilet is separate from the bathroom on the same floor as the bathroom (ie the floor below the bedroom)
We are near St Andrews Park and Montpelier. But the jewel in the crown is Gloucester Road which has the longest stretch of independent shops and bars and cafes in the UK. It has everything you need. Trendy Stokes Croft home of wild graffiti murals is also nearby.
Parking in the area is fairly cramped as parking zones have not arrived in our road yet. Bus 70 passes the house and the Montpelier train station, that links Temple Meads to Severn Beach, is a 3 minute walk away. Clifton is only 2 short stop away on the train. Also you can walk into central Bristol in 15 minutes. Semi-detached house with a garage for cycle parking. Lots of taxis nearby.
Other things to note
On top of a hill with spectacular views. I have a host of tourist maps and advice to give any visitors to Bristol and lots of tips of where best to eat.
As it is our home we ask for respect for each other in terms of noise. Also the house is smoke-free.
I am semi-retired but I work part-time in public health. I have a husband and 2 grown up daughters and about to become a granny. I spent my childhood in Wales but have lived in the great city of Bristol UK for 37 years. I love to travel and spent 3 years in Latin America working for health programmes. I am a cyclist and try to keep fit.
I work from home and I love tea and chats. I am a bit of a hoarder for all sorts of things. I have visited Australia many times to see my brother. This year I made it to Tasmania which was wonderful.
