Lilly was a fantastic host, she met us at the house and walked us through everything. The location was spot on for all of your needs in San Francisco. 5 mins from the BART station, in the middle of the mission area, lots of food, and great bars within walking distance. The 3 rooms were very nice in size, plenty of room for our stuff. The kitchen area was nice too, we like to cook and there was plenty of space to do that.
This was my first Airbnb and Lily's place was definitely the right choice. It was very easy to find and in a quiet location. Lily met us at the door to give us the tour and then left us to our own devices. The place is a little old but clean, well-maintained, and perfect for our needs. There were plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance and transportation was easy to find when we wanted to venture out further. I'll be checking to see if this place is available the next time a few of us want to go to San Francisco again.
We stayed at the house May 1-7 2015. The size of the house, layout and location worked well for us. A frw things that we hoped would be better:
The house is old and makes a lot of noise. The heater constantly made noise and there were sounds of something dripping. Since it was somewhat cold when we were visiting, the heater had to be on and because it is only located in the hallway, we all had to sleep with open doors and hear it throughout the night. The main entry door is flimsy and the deadbolt wasnt operational. I asked the host to fixed it and she promised to do it on Monday. When we were leaving on Thursday, it still wasnt fixed. There is gate at the front, but having a secure door is important to us and the lock didnt seem too safe. Not enough light in the house - no bedside lamps, a few burned out bulbs. Overall, we expected the house to be newer and cozier than ot actually was.
Now for the good things: 2 mins away from the subway, Lily the host was available via text so we could ask for places to eat or misc things. Lots of towels, fully equipped kitchen, clean sheets, comfortable beds. Check-in/check-out pricess was easy.
Overall we would it rate price/quality at 4. Not the best place but we expecyed more for the money.
I am happy to report the front door is secure and the deadbolt lock as been replace and works perfectly. Light bulbs have been replaced as well and I have check the property for any leaking water, as California is experiencing a sever drought. The home was built in 1906. It is an old but well cared for property and I do my best to address issues as soon as I learn about them.
Lily's place was great. It's in an awesome location and is exactly as described. Lily communicated with me excellently and I felt very comfortable and confident staying here. I would stay here again.
We had a great stay at Lily's apartment. The house is conveniently located, close to the Mission/16th BART station, and to tons of great places to eat. Mexican food galore!
Lily was extremely responsive, even though she was out of town during my stay. She answered my questions within minutes through the app.
Lily's place was fantastic - couldn't have asked for more. The place itself, while older, is very well kept and has a modern kitchen (which was great to hangout in). The bedrooms and associated storage space were very ample. The place was well furnished with some very interesting pieces.
The neighbourhood was really cool - plenty of good bars, restaurants and shops on Valencia, and close proximity to the train station. Also, every Uber was under 6min away!!
Lily responded to any of our queries promptly and the place was competitively priced for the size and area.
I'd recommend this to a friend, and would happily stay again when back in San Fran.
Everything was as expected. Lily was responsive and good host.
