Lagniappe House is a French vintage inspired shared living guest house above Lagniappe, a New Orleans style backyard wine garden and jazz bar.

Upstairs, we invite you to be our guest at Lagniappe House. Guests can choose to stay from a night to serval months. Choose from our three double occupancy rooms or one garden room suite. All amenities are included with free wifi, large fully equipped kitchen, front reading room with desk and internet access, and full shared bath. Each of the four rooms is rented out separately with comfortable vintage furnishings and fresh linens and towels, with keys to the house and your individual room.

Below we welcome you to Lagniappe, our laid back backyard style wine garden and jazz bar. were you can grab a bottle of reasonably priced boutique wine or craft beer, some cheese and charcuterie from the cooler for us to plate or something from the outdoor grill, and chill with us for some great live jazz, folk, funk and blues.

We invite you to stay with us! :)

Guest Access

Come downstairs and join us at Lagniappe in the evenings for live music, boutique wine and craft beer, pick your own cheese and charcuterie plates and dinner and the grill. Enjoy yourself inside with live jazz, blues, french gypsy and bluegrass bands, or outside in our garden. It's the feeling of a backyard house party right in the middle of the city.

Care to venture outside our garden walls? Miami's cultural heart is right outside our door. We are nestled between the Miami Design District, with some of the city's best dinning and shopping, and the Wynwood arts district, with blocks and blocks of beautiful graffiti murals, galleries, coffee houses and gastro pubs. To hit the beach it's a straight shot just over the causeway with direct bus lines running every half hour.

Interaction with Guests

Guests will have their own set of keys available by lockbox outside the door, giving you independence to check in at any time.

The Neighborhood

We are situated in the corner of Midtown which has become a central hub to some cool Miami cultural and culinary spots. We are in the north corner of the Wynwood Arts District, an entire warehouse district's walls converted into urban mural art and interiors into galleries and hipster dives. (Come the second Saturday night of the month for art walk to see it in full fledge)
Come December, Art Basel's main satellite tents, Scope, Red Dot, Art Asia, and Art Miami set up there tents directly across the street. A few blocks north is the Miami Design District, with top interior and fashion deign showrooms and acclaimed culinary dining. Downtown Miami is a few miles south and the beaches are just across the causeway.

Just North of us is considered the Design District which is full of high-end commercial and art galleries and conveniant mid-town shopping.

The Southwest is a lower income area surrounding Wynwood, the popular mural walls and avant guarde art district. Their are so many new concept restaurants all off of NW 2nd Ave. I recommend our friend's amazing Italian/Israli Bakery, who goes by Zac the Baker.

If you look up neighborhoods on AIRBNB, you'll find pictures of these areas... they may even have photos for Buena Vista, the friendly old neighborhood in the North. A walk to their French Bakery: Bueno Vista Deli is about 10 blocks north on the same street you'll be on, NE 2nd Ave, and the mushroom/goat cheese quiche is to die for!

Getting Around

Shuttles run from both FLL and MIA Airports to personal locations. Uber car rentals have become more popular and easier to locate than taxis.
Bus 202 travels to and from the Miami Airport.
Bus J and 150 go to the beach.
Buses 9 & 10 pick up in front of our street and Buses 3, 16, & 95 run along Biscayne, one street over. All of these routes can be found by searching MetroMover in Miami.

What I recommend the most is getting around by bike.

All of our neighborhoods are easiest to explore on bike. The Venetian Causeway on 15th Street will take you to the beach, crossing a beautiful pedestrian-friendly bridge over the Bay of Biscayne. Parking is a cinch. You can travel at your leisure and enjoy the fresh air.

The nearest bike rental is on 28th Street and Biscayne.

Other Things to Note

If you're a light sleeper, feel free to bring ear plugs as the downstair's wine bar features live music between 9pm -12am and remains open till 2am.
