  • It was a great time for me in the flat of Lois and Tucker. I miss them every day. I´m homesick and hope to visit them sometime.
The first week I was alone in the flat but a friend of Lois, Liz waited for me in the flat and prepared all things for me like my family do it when I visit them or go back home. Liz asked me before my arrival what I like to have for breakfest so she can do shopping before. And I have get beatiful sommer flowers in my room and in the kitchen. Liz gave me all instructions I need and I could call her and send a email to Lois when I had some questions.
The flat is so sweet and it is really a happy and lovely home.
Lois is a very friendly, helpful and happy person, who loves life and people. Every morning you get a great "Good Morning" with a large smile from her dog Tucker. Tucker is a very intelligent, always, like Lois, good-humored, friendly and well-behaved dog (a really "good boy"). If you want you can have a lot fun with him and you can learn a lot from him too.
    The location is great.
    Lois, Tucker: thanks a lot!

  • This host is superb! My second stay in Lois' lovely, Paris inspired home was everything I hoped: Friendliness and location and an excellent borrowed home in San Francisco.

  • My girlfriend and I had a delightful stay at Lois' flat which was impeccably furnished and wonderfully comfortable, Lois was the perfect host sharing coffee and bagels, great conversation and her beautiful golden retriever, Tucker.

She is in a great location, very close to a beautiful park that offers nice hiking trail and easy access to the city neighborhoods. Lois couldn't have been nicer and she lifted my girlfriend's spirits who had recently lost her father. I lived in San Francisco for 20 years, and I can't think of a better place to stay. We felt right at home.

  • Lois provides a gracious home to enjoy, and feel comfortable in, during your visit to San Francisco. It is a 1920-era flat beautifully maintained and appointed with Asian art and hints - okay more than hints - of her love affair with France.
I was greeted with a smile and warm conversation, a quick tour and fresh fruit and flowers in my room. Some mornings I read in the sunshine streaming through the huge window overlooking the courtyard, some nights I cozily watched the large-screen t.v. at the foot of my bed. On one of my best days I did not venture far; it's two blocks to Presidio trails and in the other direction GG Park is a 20-minute stroll, if you can get past the cheap and delicious dim sum or the bookstores on Clement St. From the corner of Lois' street I caught buses to various points downtown.
Lois is a superb hostess (I just pushed a button for coffee every morning), truly interested in people. She also hosted my daughter last fall and quickly became one of her favorite people in her new city. Now she is certainly my favorite, too, aside from my daughter of course. There are many wonders in the city, but it is also wonderful behind Lois' friendly door.

  • This bnb is awesome! Everything one could ask for. Location is perfect. Lois is the best hostess. Her house is beautiful and the room is big and clean. Plenty of amenities. And this bnb even comes with a lovable golden retriever, Tucker. Will definitely recommend to friends!

  • After few months from my first stay at Lois' flat, I came back again! It felt like I'm back home. The most comfy bed in the world still was there. Great and quiet location as it was before. Lois' great hospitality still was there. Lovely Tucker was there too, and he noticed me this time! He got so excited and we played around together :D

Amazing staying as the place did not frustrate me again.

  • Staying with Lois was everything I hoped it would be. Lois was incredibly hospitable and helped me find my feet on my first trip to San Francisco. The house and room were fantastic, the room was spacious, light and airy and the amenities excellent. Recommended without reservation. Thanks Lois!

  • Lois Layne (yes that is her actual name) was so hospitable to me on my first nights in San Francisco. Within a few minutes of meeting her I knew I would feel comfortable in her home. She has a warm, Parisian-inspired flat that lifts the spirits of those who enter. Lois likes to entertain people, and is easy to get along with. She let me be independent while still acting as a second mother of sorts. My stay was so wonderful that I missed it as I left. I would recommend Lois as a host to anyone.

  • Lois - the original Lois Lane is the most fantabulous host. Having been a air hostess for many years she is practiced in the art of easing guests into their stay. She is a sunny and positive person and her house is just as lovely. The house is as described in a delightful area. Our stay was entirely comfortable. We only wished we had booked more days. You will most certainly enjoy a stay here.

  • An absolute gem of a home, only surpassed by Lois, our incredible host. She welcomed us with a hug, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we had found a special place. The location was perfect for us, tucked away on a quiet street in the Inner Richmond, but with easy access to buses (1, 2, 38) that could take us anywhere.

The room comes equipped with a flat screen TV, wireless, and an extremely comfortable bed! The entire apartment is spacious, gorgeous, and Lois made us feel right at home.

This is a 5-star listing, hands down.
