Please keep the apartment nice and clean.
We were very pleased with this amasing apartment! We were looking for an apartment to move immediately in two hours. Because of small child we were very picky. But! Hadas was so kind to assist us and provide this apartment after less than 2 hours! She thought just about every little detail to make the staying of the guests pleasant and comfortable as if they were at home. It's very clean and cozy!
The location of the apartment is perfect too, and there is everything you need just in a few steps.
Definately recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for a studio in Jerusalem including those with children!
This was one our best airbnb bookings so far....didn't get a chance to meet Hadas in person but she was very responsive to text messages and accommodated a 4-hr early checkin and 7-hr late checkout given there were no guests booked before or after us. She even offered a free extra day to make up for a hot water problem; the hot water was great and plentiful but didn't work one morning for some reason. Hadas took the problem very seriously and called a serviceman to have it fixed right away. Judging from the lack of hot water complaints in other reviews I believe this was fluke occurrence and would not let it deter future guests.
Bed was probably the most comfortable airbnb bed we've ever slept in.
Location was ideal; above a busy pedestrian market street with lots of shops, cafés, and restaurants. Loved that the only restaurant we could find open during the sabbath was 10 steps from the apt. Any street noise that could be heard from nighttime pedestrians was no problem for us at all. One night I thought it was a little loud, but then in the morning I found that I had left the balcony door ajar :)
Small kitchen was plenty suitable for cooking for two.
Can't say enough great things about this apt and host. Will definitely try to stay here again!!
The apartment is sunny and bright and airy. The bathroom and kitchen are basic we loved the position And it was lively and noisy through the holidays. We never meet our hosts but were received by other lovely family members. We felt this accommodation was good value for money
We really enjoyed our stay in Hadas' studio.
It looks exactly like in the pictures and even bigger and better and you have all you need for your stay (even iron and hair dryer).
The studio is righ in the center of everything and it's about 5-10 minutes walk of all the tourists' places. As it's right in the center, there might be noice that most of the reviewers were complaning of, but the secret is to close the balcony hermetically (possible only with the key), and then you don't hear anything.
Also, would like to mention that Hadas was very welcoming and was flexible with our late check in (we arrived to Jerusalem only at 9 PM) and also propsed us late check out as the studio shouldn't be accomodated that day.
My family had a great stay at this studio apartment, which is in a fantastic location.
PROS: The apartment was very clean and the online photos present a very accurate view of what we found when we arrived. High ceilings, lots of light coming in through the balcony, comfortable bed & futon, fast wi-fi, powerful AC and on-site washer & dryer are all big assets of this unit. Its central location amidst shops, restaurants, markets and nearby parks is incredible (5-minute walk to Mahane Yehuda Market, 10-minute walk to Mamilla Mall, 12-minute walk to Jaffa Gate and Old City). Hadas was a very welcoming host. She was easy to reach by e-mail and responded to inquiries quickly -- often within 5 minutes. She met my family promptly outside the apartment at our agreed meeting time and gave us a tour of the unit, showing us how all of the appliances worked. She also gave us detailed directions for parking our rental car nearby.
CONS: These are relatively minor, but I'll mention them anyway... There is no easy or free parking near the apartment, so if you have a rental car, it's a bit of a hassle. We found a very friendly parking lot owner on Hillel Street (next to the Nahon Museum of Italian Jewish Art) who allowed us to park there for 60 NIS (about $17 USD) per day with in/out privileges. Some reviewers have mentioned the noise right outside the balcony. Yes, it can be a bit noisy at night, and the energetic crowds, dancing, music and celebrating on Saturday night after Shabbat lasted until well after midnight. That said, my family found it to be more of a delight than a nuisance, and we have fond memories of seeing this unique experience up close from our balcony overlooking Ben Yehuda Street. Lastly, there was a gentleman on a staircase who appeared to be secretly videotaping/photographing me and my family as we checked in to the apartment. Not sure if that was done as a security measure but it was kind of creepy.
Overall, we consider ourselves very lucky to have found this clean, well-appointed studio apartment that allows guests to enjoy Jerusalem from a prime location. We would not hesitate to stay here again and to recommend this gem to others looking for an apartment in Jerusalem.
Hadas was a great host, she allowed for flexible check-in and check out times and met us promptly on arrival. She even offered to hook us up with tours of the old city and mahane yehuda.
The apartment was clean and tidy and perfectly situated. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Jerusalem.
