I am located in between Kells and Oldacastle and this area is breathtaking. The scenery is amazing and also steeped in rich cultural heritage.
5 KM from my house are the 5000 year old Neolithic tombs (rumored resting place of the Arc of the Covenant). Lough Sheelin is only a 15 min drive from the house, wonderful fishing and out door activities also.
The best way to get here is by car/Bus.
As you would at home :)
I had a lovely stay at Helen's house. Her mother met me and let me in and was even generous to drive me into Kells as well as a lovely breakfast the next morning. A lovely house in a beautiful part of Ireland

Ravenogue B&B is situated in the country as describe but no sign as Tuney tyres or Ravenogue in sight. We recognise it as we had seen the photo on website.
The house is quiet , very clean and bed was comfortable. We were attending a wedding in Clonabreany House and Helen offered to drive us down to the reception and we got a taxi back for €10 organized by Clonabreany staff during the meal. Lovely full Irish breakfast was served with delicious homemade brown bread.
A wonderful home to stay. Very relaxing and she makes a great breakfast! Clean, quiet and comfortable.
