Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Feel far away from the world while you're really close to conveniences. Our "Sandy Sue" cabin features a queen size bed, kitchen and bath. View Mill Creek and a private back yard through large picture windows. A cozy, covered front porch is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and watch wildlife. Quiet and secluded, this a perfect place to relax.

The space
The cabin sits next to Millcreek (there is a steep hill between cabin and creek, other areas on property allow access to Millcreek) at the edge of a large 13-acre field. There is another cabin and camper within view, but there is plenty of open space around the cabin.

****Important Information about flooding****

Our cabin sets near Millcreek which floods sometimes. When the Ohio River is high, it backs up to the area around the cabin. Flooding generally occurs only once or twice in the winter, if at all.

However, weather is unpredictable. Life on a creek or river always includes the risk of flooding.

Please note it is back water, so it comes up slowly. There is no danger of flash flooding.

We will contact you if flooding is an issue before or during your stay. If necessary, we will ask you to vacate the cabin or may have to reschedule your stay.

Guest access
Guests have access to all areas of the campground including Millcreek, a playground, laundry room, and bath house.

Other things to note
WIFI is available at the campground office.

5 MPH throughout campground
Do not park on the grass.
Park in designated areas only
Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground
No trash or can in the fire pits

Neighborhood highlights

We are about 8 miles from Ripley and Ravenswood WV. We are in a rural area, but there are several gas stations/convenience stores and a Dollar General as close as 1/2 mile away. Easily accessible from I-77, we are within a 40 minutes' drive from both Charleston and Parkersburg. It's quiet here at night. The campground is beside a two-lane road, and to access the cabin area you must drive through the campground and then go down the hill to MillCreek.
