Looking for a place that feels like your own? We have a five bedroom house with a garden & terrace, BBQ, garage, parking out front, three bathrooms (one full and the other two half) kitchen and other extras. The couch in the living room is also large and we have a tiny pull out couch in our home office! We're located in the Kumpfmühl neighborhood of Regensburg /Ratisbon, which is about a 15-20 minute walk or a 6 minute bus/bike ride away. The street is quiet and safe and during the summer everyone is outside and very friendly!
There are two options here:
1) You can rent out a private room(36€/night) which includes all the amenities above and below but cheaper!! There would be a TV & DVD player and a full sized bed. The room next door is our office which also has a single bed (for rent), and can accomodate up to 3 people with a pull out couch and an extra mattress. If you have your own laptop with you, we will provide you with the wireless code.
2)You can rent out the whole townhouse (60€/night) which includes a full kitchen (with little goodies inside for you!), dining/living room (flat screen TV w/films and SKY paid channels), Wi-fi internet access, one bathroom downstairs and one upstairs with a bathtub and shower etc and another half bath on the 3rd floor where the computer room and guest room are.
Extras: we have a baby boy who was born on October 28, 2011, and a 4 year old daughter who is quite lovely (that's the unbiased mother speaking!!). She is in daycare/kindergarten for the most part since we both work, but this really pertains to those who are renting a private room. If you have any questions just drop me a line and I will get back to you right away. As long as you're kid friendly there shouldn't be any problems.
To those with CHILDREN... On the 2nd floor is our daughters' bedroom. She has a toddler bed, a little table and chair set, a store with lots of accessories, and books in English and in German. There are also plenty of toys in the garden and in our home, baby pool, bath toys, and extra travel baby beds etc. Just inquire and I am sure we can make your stay with a little one or two quite comfortable! The second bedroom on the 2nd floor is the baby room with bed, changing table, etc. Just let us know if you will need to use those things too!
P.S. for the sociable party types: we know of the best bars and clubs! We always leave a list of cultural and night life events! We might have kids, but still manage to get out :)
1) No smoking in the house (you are welcome to use the ashtray in the garden!)
2) Remember to lock up and keep track of key. (if lost, you will be charged a replacement fee.)
3) After using the kitchen, remember to tidy up!!
4) Please remember to take off your shoes. We have house slippers at the main entrance if you need them.
5) Starting at 10 pm please try to use an "inside voice." We live in a townhouse and loud music or loud partying isn't appreciated by our neighbors. Normal voices, going in and out and the such are fine though.
Thanks and see you soon!
We had a fantastic time in Imani's house. The keys were easy to find and the instructions very useful. The house is in a quiet area North of the old town, but still central, with buses easy to catch, supermarkets at your doorstep and the old town 20 walking minutes away. Imani is very generous in allowing guests to use the washing machine and dryer, general food stuffs and making guests feel very at home in her house.
Our children loved the play room which we were allowed to use, the tons of children's books (in English and German), good sized garden and cats that visited from time to time. We hadn't expected that our kids had a bedroom each, but since there were two bedrooms in the loft, Imani generously offered they could sleep up there (which they loved!).
I unreservedly recommend this house to everyone visiting Regensburg, particularly families with children and people who want a bit more space during their stay in Regensburg. Thanks to Imani and her beautiful family for renting their house to us, we had a wonderful time!
The best airbnb accommodation we stayed at, a very welcome greeting and a terrific location!
Ewan and his family were absolutely amazing guests and their family is so cute and friendly. I would recommend them as well to anyone. Ewan, you guys are welcome back at any time in the future. Thanks for the great review. We just got back home yesterday from Spain :-)
The reservation was canceled 49 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Our family (2 young kids) spent a weekend in Imani's hause during February 2014. we loved the house and its (website hidden) is very comfortable and welcoming, only 5 minutes drive by car/bus to the city center.
Imani left some groceries for us in the frig which made us feel even more at home. Imani's kids were so nice letting my daughters play with their toys during our stay.
we highly recommend the place and we will defiantly come again. Thanks Imani!
We, four friends, stayed over the weekend to catch up and explore the city of Regensburg. This truly cozy home served us as an excellent base for just that. We felt at home immediately, I can't think of anything we have missed.
Quiet neighbourhood. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room has a really nice dining area. Location is convenient, we preferred walking but you can also take the bus downtown which leaves just outside the house. Though we only met Mitch briefly for getting the keys, you can feel the spirit of the whole family in every corner of the house. Lots of attention to detail.
To summarize: Absolutely recommended!
Mitch, Imani and kids: we wish you all the best!
See you again, someday, somewhere.

Hi Imani, Klaus and I enjoyed our stay in your townhouse very much. You and your family are delightful and we were very comfortable during our entire stay. Loved meeting your daughter and son, made me feel a little less lonely for my own grandchildren. If we make it back to Regensburg we will for sure reserve a room with you. We would highly recommend your home, it is in a very convenient location to Old Town and easy access. You could walk easily to the store, Old Town or MacDonalds! Thanks so much for sharing your home and family with us. Blessings to you and your family

I am 34 years old and live in Regensburg, Germany. I grew up in Rockville, MD and went to Holy Child High School in Potomac. I have two wonderful children, one daughter who is six years old and a toddler boy who is almost 3 years old (born in Oct 2011). They are both well behaved, and am married to the best guy ever: Mitch, who is my reason for living in Germany :)
I majored in Art history with a minor in poli-sci at the College of Wooster in Ohio. I am now pursuing a MA in European-American Studies at the University of Regensburg (2014 Candidate). Living in Europe is great, but I think that eventually I will move back to the States for a bit if everything works itself out that way. We will see... I am the spontaneous type, but am respectful and fun loving!!
